Chris Wallace, ‘1619 Project’ Author Nikole Hannah-Jones Argue Over ‘Racist’ World War II Generation
New York Post ^ | April 7, 2022 | Ariel Zilber

Chris Wallace got into a heated exchange with “1619 Project” author and New York Times reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones, who told him that the generation that fought in World War II “brutally suppressed” black people.

Hannah-Jones, who said the US is a country “founded on racism,” got pushback from Wallace in response to her claim that the “Greatest Generation” that fought in World War II “brutally suppressed democracy” by denying African Americans the right to vote in the US.

During his CNN+ show, Wallace read aloud a passage from the “1619 Project” — the controversial, Pulitzer Prize-winning series from the New York Times in which Jones and others argue that America’s founding was predicated on a desire to preserve slavery.

Putting aside that Hannah-Jones is historically illiterate... does she think black people would have gotten better treatment from the Nazis and the Japanese?!

CNN+.... I wonder how many have signed up for this subscription. If no one is watching CNN, why do they think anyone will pay for CNN+?

"How in the heck did such unmitigated phony crap get awarded a Pulitzer?"

Progressives took over history generations ago. They've owned it and have held a monopoly over it for a long time now.

Back in the 1990s there was a funny political cartoon showing a donkey (a Democrat) running around slapping “racist” stickers on everything he could find. Then the Republicans took the House (1994).

As the comedian John Cleese said, the British gave them “free passage” to the U.S.

Because the Pulitzer prize is no longer concerned about journalistic excellence, rather it is now obsessed with radical notions of “diversity”, “equity” and the “voices of the unheard.”

Hannah-Jones and her dubious and discredited “scholarship” is clear evidence of it.

Wormy Wallace is intentionally stirring controversy for a dying CNN endeavor. He probably agrees with her.

I wish Ms. “Hannah-Jones” would move to a better country and get out of our hair.

Both my father and father-in-law were WW II generation, and I have to confess that there was no doubt they were racist. However, they were racist in the sense of believing that their own race was superior to the others, not in the sense that they hated other races, or would have done them any ill. They were creatures of their times.

One of my uncles served in Europe in WWII, then was called up for Korea when he had a wife and three children. He did his service valiantly. But he hated everyone: blacks, Jews, Asians ... you name it. But a good man nonetheless.
