Haven’t they been saying some version of this every year since the 1970s? The sky is still falling, Chicken Little, and all the poobahs will fly in on their private jets or sail on their giant yachts to the next Davos meeting or climate change conference. Perish the thought that they would meet online to save the planet.

For the first time in human history, we have the technologies available to us that allow us to live comfortable lives without consuming ginormous amounts of energy,” she added. “It’s almost the first time that we can plausibly think about pathways to get beyond the age of combustion — and wouldn’t that be exciting?”Horse hockey, lady. We're going to be burning stuff for the foreseeable future -- at least the next few decades -- if we're allowed, to make our lives comfortable and keep ourselves fed, housed and clothed. Renewables simply aren't efficient enough, and even if we ultimately ended combustion as an energy source, we would still need nuclear and hydropower to augment solar and wind. Otherwise, you'll have hundreds of millions of people the world round who will hate your elitist guts. Would you prefer that, lady?

The second major report examined climate impacts and found that about half of the world’s population is now acutely vulnerable to disasters stemming from the burning of fossil fuels.Such as flaming rail disasters in small Canadian towns because President Butt-Head canceled an oil pipeline.

Don't worry. They have plenty of paid actors to say it for you. While they're having a heart attack while the're taking $10,000 worth of pills for the AIDS they got. As they're standing in line for their next injection.

“Climate change” requires us to believe that the geological force that caused the glaciers to recede is no longer functional, and that instead human activities have replaced that force.

Thanks for that. I turned to the previous chapter and studied up on the theoretical element, Luckdaysium. They “know” it exists (see “dark matter”), and that it will solve all the world’s problems when it materializes; but it’s been elusive, they say.

There is a significant population decline ahead for the planet. I wonder if these “climate scientists” have failed to consider this.

Several times in our human history something happens ever so often that kills off a huge number of people.
Plagues, natural disasters, famines, wars, all kinds of things can happen.....................

New York will be the “land of cotton” and all the unemployed can be put to work building dykes and canals, just like in Holland.

For instance, in just the last few weeks, an ice shelf the size of New York City collapsed in East Antarctica following record high temperatures and heavy rains deluged Australia’s east coast, submerging entire towns.Note the slick way they seem to indicate that the ice shelf collapse submerged entire towns, when in reality it was the rainy season downpours that did cause some flooding.
