The would-be Twitter killer has drawn only 1.2 million installations, according to Sensor Tower
Former president Donald Trump’s Truth Social app is seeing a 93% drop in signups and similarly steep decline in traffic after a rocky rollout last month fraught with technical issues and an extensive waiting list for new signups to actually use the service.
After going live on President’s Day, the Twitter-lookalike app saw installs decline by more than 800,000 since its launch week, according to Sensor Tower. Installs on the Apple app store this month have fallen to about 60,000 per week, based on early estimates.

“I see nothing to suggest it can recover”
I don’t think you know what you’re saying here.
Trump support among Americans, and everyone else in the world, is a billion tons of water bursting through a dam.
The cabal’s attempt to stop Truth Social is their finger in the hole.
Where? We should get together. I’m giving talks at Pebble Creek off the 303 on Ap. 7, then at Maggiano’s Scottsdale May 2, then in Prescott May 3, then all over the NW AZ area (Bullhead City, Kingman) in OCT. Will be at AZ Homeschool Convention at the PHX Convention Center in July.

As others have said the cabal doesn’t need to do anything except watch and snicker. Truth Social is doing a fantastic job of making itself look foolish without any outside help.
Trump supporters love Truth Social.
Only the anti-Trumpers are trying to talk it down.
I refuse to argue with idiots.
See ya!

No
Trump supporters love Donald Trump.
Anti-Trumpers love Truth Social because it is (so far) a failure.
Then who loves to say it’s “a failure?”
And repeating it again and again?
Installs decline by more than 800,000 since its launch
Sounds like the woke couldn’t pass the smoke test of truth.

Why not get on Gab?
The only limits to your speech there are the same as the 1st amendment.

And repeating it again and again?”

You are not going to get bonus Trump points for trying to argue that something works when in-fact it doesn’t work.
Me, my spouse and my two kids are registered and verified users, able to log in but unable to access the platform. This has been the situation for almost 6 weeks.
When a company has a product that doesn’t work for 6 weeks and has nothing to say, that qualifies as a product failure.
It is possible that this might change in the future and i hope it does but for right now the product is a failure.
But why would you try to characterize it as a failure so quickly? And why would you give up so easily?
Trump doesn’t give up.
I don’t give up.
Most Trump supporters don’t seek defeat like you’re doing.
All it takes is patience.

Donald Trump is the best President in my lifetime and I plan on supporting him as I have in the past.
Truth Social, is a media platform, different from President Trump as Trump is a human being and Truth Social is an internet chit-chat board. Big difference.
The only reason I and many others have said that Truth Social is a failure is because when you look at it, it is really difficult to say it’s a success. Something that isn’t a success is generally looked on as being a failure.
Now if you can convince me that people like me are doing something wrong and are not able to use the product due to user incompetence and the the thing works then I will apologize but that is a tall order and contrary to the observable facts of the matter.
So contradictory. If the signups have plummeted, its because there is a huge waiting list. Why does this list exist? My only guess is a “scaling” problem as they get infrastructure into place.
Facebook and Google weren’t created in a day. But something like this gets expectations as if it was a long-tested platform. Expect 6 months of rocky operations at least until things smooth out.
That said, 60,000 new sign-ups a week is nothing to sneer at. Especially with these headwinds. And, while the company struggles to get things in the groove.. they aren’t begging for new waves of sign-ups. Still, this level is “At Scale” and this means that no real surprises when they move one order of magnitude up.
Vitriol much. Send a resume.
Part of this is that they adopted an existing open-source platform as the basis of the site and many of the developers are a bunch of woke haters.. who want this whole thing dead.
That code has never been implemented on this scale; and being adopted, the developers have to rewrite much that hasn’t been implemented for this scale.
The argument for doing this is that starting from zero adds years, and frankly, your argument for holding off doesn’t acknowledge the realities of the political cycle that demand this be shoved forward as fast as possible.
But, if you are so good and can work with folks, I am sure they are desperate for such hands and this would make resolving these issues faster.
I built phone systems for many years.
In any situation where we needed capacity we would load test it to about 150% of needed capacity. There is no way we would have allowed a single customer to enter that system until it was ready for every customer. And then some.
That’s standard network testing. This talk of writing code while launching is poor planning and/or crappy management. My guess is someone was pushing hard for this—but they balked at the price. Or, someone unfamiliar with basic services marketing thought that “scarcity” would dive buzz.
Either way, it’s gone on too long for it to be “normal.”
“ Whoever Trump hired to build and run this is inept”
Perhaps the problem is similar to that of finding competent, experienced, not-corrupted, loyal conservatives to populate federal government positions.
Perhaps, like in that case, they don’t exist.
The hard left, now woke, has dominated our culture and education with an iron fist for generations. They’ve already purchased almost everyone with competence and locked them into the system with mortgages and outlandish bills to pay and kids to put through expensive economic and indoctrination institutions…er, college. Once you are in, getting out means being very poor in a rich society.
Perhaps the problem isn’t the effort here, it’s the fighting uphill against the massive power of a terminally corrupted society where there is nowhere to be found the working hands to do the job that needs to be done. After all, even Trump made his billions on the inside of the society. Fighting it from the outside is an entirely different form of enterprise.
twit didn’t get 1m users for 8 months. TS got it in 1 month.
If the company that owns TS were run by adults then they would have placed infrastructure in service before they launched the product not after. So I think your only guess is incorrect rather the real problem is miss management and a lack of vision.
tighten up your diaper and quitcher cryin. they’re doing this just right
