It’s about time.
Good for them! Hard to believe this absurdity has lasted this long.
If your job didn’t require a mask before Jan.31, 2020, it certainly did not require one after that date — going into the 3rd year of a State of Emergency over an ever morphing cootie narrative, it makes one wonder about some folks on FR who said way back when, “what’s the big deal, it’s just a mask.”
Got on your union about this. They’ve been pushing to keep the mandate and they’re one of the biggest reasons we still have one.
I still see stores requiring masks for their employees.
another thorn in the Biden admin approach to covid.
Weren’t we told, early on, that the filtration system in airplanes was so good, that the chances of catching covid via air travel was minimal? Weren’t we shown pix of UV machines disinfecting pre-flights? Isn’t that the argument used by the attendants to avoid mandates for themselves?
Given that vaccination rate in the US is around 70%, with those over 50 and the educated business and international traveler above 80%, with 217 million fully vaccinated and 90 million of those given boosters, given that acquired immunity wanes over time, given that current variants have immunity escape abilities, and given that the vulnerable can voluntarily choose to protect themselves with N95 masks when in the terminal interior and inflight, is the unvaccinated passenger even a talking point now? What’s the main game here? Avoiding lawsuits over the forced masking of toddlers? Or more union positioning?
Yeah, it’s well past time to ditch this mask nonsense.
Yeah, it’s well past time to ditch this mask nonsense.
