As Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill into law on Monday, The Walt Disney Company issued a statement vowing to help repeal the controversial legislation.

“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law,” the statement reads. “Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

So, Disney runs Florida instead of the elected representatives? Wow, interesting government development we have going on here.

It's an old symbiosis.

Government gives Hollywood power, Hollywood gives Government glamour.

Lines 97-101, specifically. But the Gaystapo doesn’t like the whole idea of parental rights in general.

“Nolte: Disney’s Support for Child Grooming Is a Game Changer”

by John Nolte

The Walt Disney Company’s full-throated support of sexually grooming prepubescent children is a game-changer.

We now live in a country where one of our two major political parties and the corporate media are pro-grooming. On top of a Supreme Court nominee who obviously does not see child porn as a terrible thing, who’s seeking to gradually de-criminalize child porn, the entire Democrat party has come out against a Florida bill meant to stop teachers from grooming little kids. All the Florida bill does is forbid the classroom teaching of sexuality in kindergarten through third grade. That’s all it does. In my mind, it doesn’t go far enough. Schools should not be teaching sexuality, period. But Democrats and the media are angry that kids aged four to seven are not having their innocence shattered when they should be learning to read and write.

Also in favor of sexual grooming is the Walt Disney Co.

In what will be remembered as one of the greatest betrayals in the world of entertainment, the Walt Disney Co. has not only come out against Florida’s “don’t-groom-little-kids” bill, Disney is agreeing to use its brand and platforms to take up the slack with its own grooming.

Disney’s first move was to add a same-sex kiss to its new theatrical blockbuster, Buzz Lightyear.

What decent parent wants to expose their little kids to that kind of sexual confusion, to any sort of sexuality?

Disney has also promised to ramp up its gay and transsexual content in children’s shows.

Think about what a betrayal this is…

If Michael Jackson were still alive, he’d never would have had to build Neverland Ranch.

I guess I have to retract my post #12. Your post is correct.

Here's the relevant part of the bill:

3. Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.

Disney — and all leftists — are running against an imaginary version of this bill.

On purpose, I might add…

They have never read the bill. One major section of it could be considered an anti-bullying bill. In the fact it tells schools

“A school district may not adopt procedures or student
support forms that prohibit school district personnel from
notifying a parent about his or her student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being, or a change in related services or monitoring, or that encourage or have the effect of encouraging a student to withhold from a parent such information.”

I seem to recall where schools have not always told parents a child was being bullied and how that bullying impacted the child. This law puts a stop to protecting bullies.

Liberals hate Florida like they hate Israel. They have a lot in common.

Israel and Florida both have fast growing economies, warm weather and the beach.

They both have a history, but are defined by their modern present. And both their populations are made up mostly of people who came from other places, filled with hope for a better way of life.

Liberal threats to boycott both Israel and Florida are ineffective, as both places appeal to so many people. And because of their modern nature and emigrant populations, they can’t smear Florida as an ol’ redneck State, nor can they smear Israel for any colonialist sins from past centuries.

Liberals hate both of these places because they’re happy, sunny, prosperous, prideful over what they’ve created, and committed to protecting it.
