I think he is so thoroughly corrupted that he would sacrifice lives to buy him more time.
It’s also clear that in some aspects, such as us involvement in bioweapons labs that the Russians are more truthful than our leadership and media.
I understand that and I think he caught a lot of us off guard with the way he actually governed.
Afterall, it’s not like we never had any politician say one thing to get elected and then do the opposite once they got elected.

You are correct, Putin is much more like Mussolini rather than Hitler.

Much of those claims are like Hitlers ability to justify his attitude toward the nations he attacked - was not France founded by the Germanic tribes - the Franks (from around Frankfort) that conqured it, and were not the Angles and Saxon’s that made England just other Germanic tribes from western German territories, and even the “Normans”, didn’t their peoples in Scandavia arrive from the territory of the “German” tribes, as their languages suggest.
It is by similar sort of idiocies that Putin scrapes to justify to himself that Ukraine is “Russian”. It totally ignores the long history of most of Ukraine, including Kyiv, outside any authrity from Moscow.
Of greater relevance to America are the fictions Biden is spouting.
