I don't think his execution was of the summary sort. If memory serves, he got a court martial.
Why would anyone consider "Ukrainian security services" to be a credible source of information?
This country whose President has imprisoned opposition leaders, shutdown media outlets he disagrees with, and ban or suspended all opposition political parties.
Vlogger Gonzalo Lira, who is in Ukraine, has reported the same "security services" have tried hunt him down for negative reports about the war. He's said he is fear for his life.
And, this the same country whose military fights side-by-side with the open neo-Nazi Azov battalion.
This fantasy that Ukraine is a democracy and its government is noble is laughable.
We did fight with the Red Army during World War II. So sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Even though on any other day, we would be enemies with each other.
The killings will continue until morale improves.
Putin is channeling Stalin.
Gosh he really sounds awful.
I bet the liberal media is telling us the truth this time too.
Stalin had the Soviet Union though. Putin has Russia that is being destroyed by corruption. The Soviets were communists but at least they had something to fight for, especially when the Germans invaded their motherland which became a war of national survival.
I’ve been watching The Duran occasionally and didn’t realize Gonzalo was in fear for his life. I’ve learned a lot from those guys. I also like Patrick Lancaster for his on-the-ground reporting from Donetsk.
Really would like to see the order written. Or is this just crap from our government?
It wouldn’t be Putin who would order this. It’s BS. This order would come from the command not Putin. In that respect it would be the same for our armed forces.
During WWII Soviets Army would have line of NKVD following the soldiers
Anyone attempting to retreat or not advancing was shot on the spot ...
Putin reinstating Stalinist tactics
CONTEXT:
1- In February 2019, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine launched an investigation accusing Medvedchuk of high treason and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
[In addition to numerous assets in real estate, pipelines, the oil, gas, coal businesses, as well as media owned by close partners and associates of Medvedchuk in Ukraine, the company of Medvedchuk’s wife, Oksana Marchenko, won a tender for the development of one of the three largest oil fields of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug in Russia. Viktor Medvedchuk admitted that the company was registered to his spouse to avoid the sanctions.]
In 2021, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings on treason against Medvedchuk and another MP from Medvedchuk’s party, Taras Kozak.
On April 11, 2021, Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak were charged with high treason accused of: Direct cooperation with the Kremlin: treason to Ukraine through his role cooperating with the KGB, Putin, Russian oil and gas companies.
** Medvedchuk was placed under house arrest.
2- Ukraine plans to ban 11 political parties with ties to Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in a video released via Telegram on Sunday. Driving the news: “Any activity of politicians aimed at splitting or collaborating will not succeed,” Zelensky said.
3. Prosecutors in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government had asked the court to arrest Mr. Poroshenko pending trial on charges of treason and supporting terrorism. He was released on his own recognizance.
4. Ukraine: Zelenskiy has signed decrees banning pro-Russian media outlets. The broadcasters had their licences revoked and are set to stay off the air for the next five years.
Putin grew the NAZI Russian nationalists [extremists and Russian neo-Nazis] now embedded fighting in the Eastern Ukraine on the side of the Russian separatists and against the Ukrainian army.
Among fighters for the Russians are neo-Nazis activists supported by the Russian government and criminals wanted by Russian police.activists supported by the Russian government and criminals wanted by Russian police.
So, chances are Putin will eliminate them when he is ready.
Armies kill deserters...that’s what they do.
I’m actually shocked at the number of posters saying surrendering soldiers should be executed.
Maybe these soldiers figured out that surrendering was their only option, and that continuing to fight would not be a viable option.
These individuals don’t seem to appreciate their situations.
In WW II, Russian soldiers really had no other options. Be killed by the Germans or be shot by their superiors or political officers.
In Ukraine, they have another option. Surrender and not be killed, because not surrendering in many of their situations means they are going to die.
Men will die for their country if they believe the cause is just. That is not the case in Ukraine.
Thank you
I wonder how many Russian soldiers have surrendered already?
...so Die or Die
O no.. quick.. install a globalist like zelinsky. No one dies in a globalist authoritarian world. Just ask soros obama and co.
Never thought i would say this but only china and Russia stand against that new world order biden was talking about this week.
A Russian regime change should do the trick.
America should lead it is a dog whistle for our sons n daughters fight to die first and American taxpayers foot the bill for all.
Pretty sad when somebody must use that disclaimer before criticizing the propaganda or the knuckleheads who apparently want us potentially basking under radioactive mushroom clouds. But that's where we are.
I was actually called Osama and also an apparent supporter of Al Qaeda (the latter by somebody highly respected around here who actually practiced 1st Amendment law at the Supreme Court before he passed) during the Bush years, when expressing a critical opinion related to our "national security." So this crap is nothing new.
My oldest daughter lives in the UK. I have spent a lot of time there. It am familiar with “The Sun” and know while fun to read, it is not really a reliable source.
