Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky appears to have accepted that his country will not become a member of NATO, one of the demands made by Russia before it invaded.

According to a translation of his comments in a speech, Zelensky said that Ukraine had "realized" it would not become part of the Western military alliance.

"For years we've heard the opposite, open doors, However, it is not," he said Tuesday according to Ukrainian news outlet, Trukha.

"Our people understand this, and we are beginning to count on our own strength," he added.

Funny how DONALD TRUMP gave Zelensky offensive weapons to fight the Russians.

Wake up.

You have described with Kuwait exactly the mistake Biden made with Ukraine.

Putin won’t quit until he has killed all ten of the Nazis he came to eliminate. I think he’s stalled at seven.

For some time I’ve read that Zalensky was one of those new World Order puppets but I think since the war began, Zalensky has shown over and over he is a nationalist, a patriot who believes in country.

We evidently disagree with regard to Putin’s current behavior. But I certainly agree with your statement above. The two greatest threats to Western civilization today are radical Islam and Communist China. The United Stares and Russia would have made natural allies against those two threats.

It is interesting to note that Putin behaved (if that’s the right word) when Trump was president. So I’m guessing that behind the scenes Trump said and did everything right.

You should read a bit more on Russian and Belorussian relations before writing that

Reagans accomplishments were not warmongering. He wouldn’t have allowed this situation to happen in the first place. Don’t try to make Reagan a person he was not.

Zelensky is right. NATO has already rejected Ukrainian membership.

“You should read a bit more on Russian and Belorussian relations before writing that”

I read the Belavezha Accords and if Putin thinks they’re meaningless when it comes to Ukraine then they’re meaningless for Belarus too.

Lukashenko is a fool if he thinks otherwise. Given Lukashenko’s ongoing refusal to put his troops under Russian command and control I’d say it’s pretty clear he doesn’t trust Pidor Putin.

Further, I suspect Lukashenko has his troops in reserve just in case they’re needed to fight off the Russians.

“If a country is going to have a revolution and overthrow a democratically-elected President and government...”

Who went against the will of the people! The majority of the Ukrainian people wanted to turn westward, and become more aligned with Europe; Yanokovych, however, was a pro-Russian toady who wanted Ukraine to move toward Moscow and the east, and join the EuroAsian Economic Union.

“”If this comes to fruition, he’s done. Ukrainians will call for his head. And, this will be an acknowledgement that even the Ukrainians think the Russians had legitimate security concerns”

And his replacement will be Russia friendly so the acquisition of Ukraine by Russia will take a year longer, but without another shot being fired.
