Russian prosecutors warned Western companies that criticism of Moscow's war on Ukraine could lead to arrests of corporate leaders or seizure of assets in the country.
Companies that received the warning included Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Procter & Gamble, IBM and Yum Brands, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The threats came in the form of calls, letters and visits threatening to take legal action....

We'll see how corporate America, who have changed policy over a whiney changeorg petition, handles a dictator's edict.
Does that include Cankles? Lock 'er up.
How about Pelosi, Biden, Kerry and Romney who all have interests in Ukraine.
Here in the West we like to criticize the government and we don’t like to be threatened.
Protest the war in Ukraine in Russia, get 15 years in prison.
Putin really is a mad dog killer. POS.
If this is what anti- globalism looks like i will take globalism for 1000 alex
March 5th 2022, your English is pretty good. Nice try.
It is interesting what a “globalist” corporation faces in a strong nation focused on nationalism.
Putin and others are not singing “We Are The World.”
Countries have different laws and are SERIOUS about enforcing them against those global corporations who are “guests” operating there.
McDonalds and Coca-Cola may think they can bully a country but they may find themselves kicked out in a heartbeat.
There is no “one size fits all” for global corporations.
Corporate America couldn’t care less about dictators. They don’t like to offend leftist ones primarily though
The PARIAH NATION insuring things get and stay worse for them. How incredibly stupid.
Nike’s fine. Popeye’s, not on your life. You’ll have a riot on your hands if you pull the 6 pieces for 5 rubles special.
Ponder this statement by Biden: “Any lawless decision by Russia to seize the assets of these companies will ultimately result in even more economic pain for Russia,” Psaki tweeted. “It will compound the clear message to the global business community that Russia is not a safe place to invest and do business.”
The American government’s ironic stupidity is so breathtakingly stupid, it seems possible there is an actual intended evil motive behind the stupidity.
But it is probably just stupidity which is given free rein because it has no consequence.
Marc Steiner: I want to also talk a bit more about the role of the war profiteers in all of this because that really does get lost in many discussions.
Marc Steiner: Especially in the mainstream media. Just before you came on I started reading the lyrics of Masters of War by Bob Dylan and how it fits into this description of the world that we’re facing at the moment. And you list a number of things in this article and companies that are making profits off what’s happening at this very moment, will make huge profits if it continues. So that’s a fact we don’t often put into, at least in the establishment world, they don’t put that into the analysis of why in the situation we’re in.

“Russian prosecutors warn Western firms of arrests, asset seizures”
We should be doing the same when companies inject themselves into politics. It’s a recent thing and it’s used as a HAMMER by the Left here to literally CANCEL conservatives, in some cases and act as a tool of government oppression of conservatives.
You want to do business, fine, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. If you want to control foreign policy or tell people whether or not they can own guns, fine, RUN FOR OFFICE.
“Protest the war in Ukraine in Russia, get 15 years in prison.”
Link please.
“Corporate America couldn’t care less about dictators. They don’t like to offend leftist ones primarily though.”
Tell me about it. When was the last time they criticized Iran, North Korea, Cuba, etc? They’re told by Biden that they need to impose their own sanctions on Russia, and they comply like a lap dog. Now they’re notice to keep out of the politics of another country. I think they’ll comply...after all, it’s not that hard.
A prosecutor whose wife is screaming she needs groceries is not going to be very effective in court
They’ll adapt. They have no problem in Saudi Arabia.
