Faced with tough upcoming midterm elections, inflation and high gas prices, Democrats say they need to do a better job selling the American people on President Biden's accomplishments.
While key priorities of Biden's domestic agenda have died in Congress – namely the Build Back Better social spending plan and voting rights reforms – members of the DNC are taking stock of what Biden has gotten done and pushing a message of monumental accomplishment.
"We have a record — a record to be proud of, an agenda that addresses the biggest concerns here in America, in people’s lives, the message that resonates," President Biden told the DNC faithful Thursday. "And now — now what we have to do is we have to sell it with confidence, clarity, conviction and repetition."
Democrats acknowledged voters back home are grappling with price spikes on everything from gas to groceries but sought to distance Biden from causing inflation. Party faithful echoed the White House message that the pain at the pump is the result of Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, and the higher prices are a necessary sacrifice to stand with the people of Ukraine.
"I do think that from the Republican side there is going to be blame," Georgia Democrat Lydia Glaize, a candidate for the state House of Representatives, said of the GOP blaming Biden for high gas prices. "But I can tell you from an American point of view that it's not our fault. We know for sure that this lies in the hands of Russia."
Floyd McKissick, Jr., a former state senator who is active in the North Carolina Democratic Party, said it's "imperative" that Democrats tie the origin of inflation to the start of the pandemic and global supply chain issues that happened on former President Trump's watch.

That means the DNC propaganda machine will be spinning like a jet turbine. Fortunately, no lie is too big or too preposterous.
Don’t worry, the enemedia will come up with a ton of “accomplishments” as they did for Otoken in 2012; they just won’t be anything that can be verified/measured: “Jobs saved”, “carbon emissions reduced”, “COVID beaten” (they’d just stop reporting any cases, even if people were dropping dead in the street)...
Spreading the misery. That’s what they do best.
He accomplished the destruction of our economy, further divided us, drove up our national debt beyond fixing, made us dependent on foreign oil and Chinese goods & medicine. Pretty good record for a communist enemy. Unfortunately, he's a resident of our White House.

This is nothing new. I recall Obama had said, his biggest shortcoming as president, was that he just wasn’t able to explain things to the American people well enough. He perceived his failures as his inability to sell the American people on the joys of Obamacare, rather than admitting to any problems with the policies.
The look on Biden’s face when he sees the official list of Democrat accomplishments... a blank piece of paper.
The democrat party and all its voters are the enemy. Prove me wrong.

They’re claiming inflation started with Trump and got worse because of Putin. What does that say about their ability to solve it? Do they want to run things, or observe and place blame?
