The Biden administration is forcefully pushing back on Russian claims that the United States is running bioweapons labs in Ukraine, with the Pentagon calling it "Russian propaganda" and "a bunch of malarkey."
The Russian government and media outlets have ramped up claims in recent days that the U.S. was operating bioweapon research facilities in Ukraine, with Chinese diplomats and propaganda outlets also amplifying the claims. The allegations from Russia have stretched back years. The U.S. has consistently denied the claims, and Russia has never provided any proof.
“The Russian accusations are absurd, they are laughable, and, you know, in the words of my Irish Catholic grandfather, a bunch of malarkey. There’s nothing to it. It’s classic Russian propaganda,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said Wednesday. “We are not developing biological or chemical weapons inside Ukraine. It’s not happening.”
At a Senate Foreign Relations Commission on Tuesday, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida asked Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland if Ukraine has chemical or biological weapons.
“Ukraine has biological research facilities, which, in fact, we are now quite concerned Russian troops and Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of,” Nuland replied. “So we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.”

Rubio: I’m sure you’re aware that the Russian propaganda groups are already putting out there all kinds of information about how they’ve uncovered a plot by the Ukrainians to release biological weapons in the country with NATO’s coordination.
If there is a biological or chemical weapon incident or attack inside of Ukraine, is there any doubt in your mind that 100 percent, it would be the Russians that would be behind it?
They and their media lie to us everyday.

Count the Beagles in Ukraine. If you come up relatively few on hand, yep, Fauci’s been practicing his shtick there. Keep it simple. And for what it’s worth if I found bioweapons research labs in Ukraine, I would nuke the sites too. 1 mile radius and 100 feet down. All to glass.
Tucker was conflating bio-research labs and bio-weapons development.
He was trying to make it sound scary that in Ukraine there was a “biosafety level 3 laboratory.”
But there are something like 200 such labs here in the US alone.
Go to any major American research university with a decent microbiology department and they will have a laboratory doing bio-research.
It’s how the faculty and grad students climb the academic ladder, they have to pump out published research from their lab.
The Soviet Union had numerous scientifically-oriented universities and their successors carry on today providing a science curriculum to students and doing research.
And the US government is the single biggest funder of medical research in the world, including a big part by the DoD.
Remember the leaked proposal by Peter Dasczak for funding for the research that the Wuhan lab? That leaked proposal was to DARPA who turned it down because it smelled like banned gain-of-function research (and then later Fauci funded it).
But just because a lab is doing research on pathogens, like hundreds of labs around the world are doing, does not mean that it is developing bio-weapons.

Perhaps Russia wants to secure them to prevent the Ukrainians from unleashing bio-weapons.
Well if there is nothing weaponised in those labs, why would Nuland and Rubio be concerned about Russians getting the bio material. They would have the same pathogens in labs in Russia if they were intending to use. This whole thing is to set up a hysterical response to ‘Russians use Anthrax,we must respond’
Why would Nuland say (regarding these labs) => “we are now quite concerned Russian troops and Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of,” if these were just run-of-the-mill bio-research labs?
Damn straight. At the bare minimum, he promised us there would be no more malarkey.
