EU countries will send "fighter jets" to Ukraine at Kyiv's request to help it counter the Russian air and land assault, the bloc's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Sunday.
"We're going to provide even fighting jets. We're not talking about just ammunition....

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told the EU "they need the kind of fighting jets that the Ukrainian army is able to operate... some member states have these kinds of planes," Borrell said.

But...but...they have the Ghost of Kyiv protecting them. Honestly, who is going to fly them? A video game character?

‘Ghost Of Kyiv’ Fighter Pilot Blowing Up Russian Aircraft In Trending Clip Actually From Video Game
“A clip of a Ukrainian fighter jet blowing up a suspected Russian aircraft started trending on social media yesterday. Many believed it was proof of the exploits of a mysterious and unverified ace pilot called the “Ghost of Kyiv.” It was actually fake footage from the 2013 PC game, Digital Combat Simulator: World. ...”

This is not good and shows poor planning by woke western generals.
If fighter planes were going to be sent to Ukraine, they should’ve been sent a long time ago (but they were probably waiting on the “climate change” report).
“Probably Western pilots under Ukraine markings like the Soviets did in Korea.”
We don’t do that.
BREAKING - State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Vyacheslav Markhaev directly writes that plans for a war with Ukraine were hidden from the deputies, and condemns the Russian leadership for it
Says he condemns the West for their deceit etc but also condemns Russian leadership “we hid plans to unleash a full-scale war with our closest neighbor.”
And just like Imperial Japan, this will widen the war.
Sending NATO fighter to Ukraine (What happened to “ghost”?) will be met with a response. It may be them getting attacked prior to entering the theater.
Ukraine is lost. We need to decide if we want a war to protect Poland, the Baltic States, and Romania next. I doubt Russian can push much past one or two of those three.
Expect a move to force a corridor to Kalingrad.
They’ve been flying aircraft from 2013 PC game Digital Combat Simulator.
LOL, I had that garbage.
I liked Sierra’s King’s Quest more. :)
Where do they intend to land them?
More silliness propaganda.
You don’t send airplanes without ordinance, ground crews, ground equipment, maintenance manuals and the correct tools. Crews would be troops on the ground, so that’s not happening. The bases where the Ukraine might have this stuff have already fallen to the Russian advance.
Russia is clearly ignoring western Ukraine, meaning far west of Kiev. There are only small cities there and no bases.
This is just more silliness.
It really sucks. This could get out of hand in short order. Putin is already pissed and this could set him off. Somebody had better take the Nukes away from him.
In multiplayer in Halo (the first one), I used to love running people over with those.
BTW, I was so good at that game (seems ancient now) that I was as fast and accurate as people who were cheating with aimbots. Provided I saw the guy at the same time he saw me (which was a problem because the cheaters could also see through walls), I’d take him out with 100% accuracy with headshots no matter how distant he was.
Too bad I didn’t get into streaming and got a real job instead. There are guys out there, in their thirties, making 50 grand a month just streaming video games.
Joseph Goebbels favorite person, Goebbels even wrote him letters. Freuds Nephew. He had a lot to say about how gullible American women were.
He and his uncle should have been strangled in the crib. Or at least OD’d on coke.
Fog of War—Believe little of what you hear and only half of what you see. My Hometown Newspaper had as a headline—December 8th 1941. After attack on Pearl Harbor that damaged two battleships, the rest put to sea to engage the Japanese fleet, as B-17s from Manila took off and Bombed Tokyo, Japan. Fog of war—rumors and lies, propaganda and messaging. Putin has retreated into his bunker in a drug induced coma and will be deposed or assassinated within the hour! Ukraine will march on Moscow with Hero President and change Russia into a democracy like Ukraine.

I like how a bunch of FReepers are so concerned about propaganda, but there was propaganda for weeks on this website straight from Russia, most of it ridiculing people for believing the massive army at the borders was for an invasion, and not one of you said “silly Russian propaganda.”
Where do they think the debris will rain down?? In Africa??
“He and his uncle should have been strangled in the crib. Or at least OD’d on coke.”
And you say that why? Because of how dangerous his ideas were, yes? Dismissing evil without analyzing why it was effective is dangerous. Just a few generations without talk of it, and it holds the same power.
Kennedyesk
So why did Putin invade Ukraine?
