Putin has already declared that the Golan is Syrian. So Bennett might be tempted to take Putin’s side to alter Putin’s outlook. Or at least Putin might think so. Of course if Putin is willing to ally with Assad it doesn’t say much about his choice of dependable allied
It really doesn’t matter right now what Putin said about the Golan Heights.....only that it certainly made the Islamic states happy he said that. But Putin is very very cunning and wants to gain further allies.....he knows how to play both sides to the middle.

Putin is vested in Syria a great deal and Syria is one of his allies. So it’s quite natural he’d support Syria on the issue of the Golan Heights. And frankly Putins been active in the past couple years courting Israel.
Keep in mind how Putin thinks....He was and is opposed to any country going in and taking out the elected leadership.....But isn’t it interesting that now he’s gone into Ukraine the entire global community thinks it’s not alright for him to do so after watching the US created conflicts in Libya, Syria, Egypt and other nations. Which they have done so.
