Stupid. Putin doesn’t care about Estonia.
I’ve stayed in both Tallinn (capital) and Narva (border town with Russia.) Beautiful, tiny little country.
Both times I was there due to Russian visa issues.
The West sure appears to be escalating things. Not saying it’s wrong but we’re doing it. My 2 cents is that all agreed that Russia could have Ukraine which makes our language prior to the invasion more sensical. Everything sense then is theater.
He will if they come across the border. I do not discount the possibility that NATO may yet have a little testosterone.
The entire Russia v Ukraine issue is odd to me.

His endgame is restoration of the Imperial borders or as near as he can get to 1914 border status quo.
You think so? Estonia has a substantial Russian minority. You don't think Putin will use that as an excuse?
Estonia is part of NATO. That's it. We need to fulfil our obligations.

I add that’s exactly what Stalin did when he signed the Non-Aggression Pact with Hitler, he knew it meant War in the West. He just didn’t count on France losing so easily.
Disagree. Putin’s dream / ambition is to recapture all the territory that was the Soviet Union - particularly those regions that he views as historically a part of what was then Imperial Russia.

Did you not hear Putin’s speech the other day? He specifically mentioned Poland and Lithuania. Yeah, this video shows Brits going to Estonia, but it could very well be all about the Baltics and Poland now. Better to prepare, than be caught short.
It could merely be that for him keeping Ukraine out of NATO and out of Russia’s doorstep is the “Hill to Die On” for him.
It’s like what Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf. If someone says something, believe them.
