Ukrainians are being urged to arm themselves to resist the unprovoked Russian invasion of their country. The immediate question is, "with what?" noting that Ukraine has exactly the kind of gun laws the Democratic Left wants to inflict on the United States. Handguns are illegal unless licensed, and licensing is "may-issue" the same way it is in New York. It is also necessary to have a license to purchase a long gun (as is the case in Illinois with its firearm owner ID card), and authorities can exercise discretion as to who can have a license. There are at most thirteen firearms for every hundred Ukrainians, versus more than one firearm per capita for Americans. Magazine sizes are restricted to 10 rounds, which would of course delight the governments of California and New York.
Guess what, boys and girls -- the Russian Bear doesn't have magazine size limits, nor does he obey international norms and treaties that forbid invasion of other countries. Vladimir Putin is simply another Tsar, and I mean an expansionist land-grabber like Peter I, Elizabeth I Petrovna ("like father, like daughter"), Catherine II, and Nicholas I "the flogger." Peter and Catherine are not called "the Great" for nothing, but they were great for Russia and not for Russia's neighbors.
It is also to be remembered that Ukraine inherited roughly five thousand nuclear weapons from the Soviet Union. "When the Soviet Union collapsed, Ukraine turned over thousands of atomic weapons in exchange for security guarantees from Russia, the United States, and other countries." The British prime minister, Neville Chamberlain, signed a similar scrap of paper with Adolf Hitler, and we know what that got him. Ukraine's former defense minister, Andriy Zahorodniuk, said of the more recent security assurances,

Absolutely.
Poor Ukraine was basically bankrupt when they broke free of Russia’s control. They had no money to maintain the nukes. They were promised they would be taken care of if they gave them up. So many broken promises from the West.
Congratulations to those 81 million Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton fans who put yourselves first ahead of America. FU all. Elections do have consequences and you bastards put two of the most worthless idiots on the planet in charge. Jerks. Stop calling yourselves Americans. YOU, THE DIRTY 81 MILLION ARE NOT AMERICANS.
Ukraine stupidly gave up its nuclear weapons to russia when the ussr fell. Certainly a lesson there for us to never give up our 2nd amendment right. See my tagline.
And if you don't have nukes, acquire them: Taiwan, Japan, etc.
I think Japan and Taiwan have the tech knowhow to build deliverable nukes in about a week.
I don’t know about weapons-grade nuclear material.
Yes, Ukraine does not have many big military style weapons. But what I find really disappointing is how easy Russia is invading Ukraine territory with practically NO LOSSES!
Just last week, we were shown images of beautiful Ukraine women, on top of buildings, holding automatic rifles, daring the Russians to “come and get it”.
Well the Russians are now here. Where are the Ukraine snipers to teach Pootie Pute a lesson?

They’re probably about where the Israelis are with nukes. Using a car as a metaphor, their nuke status is like saying “I don’t have a car” because it lacks a hood ornament to make it complete 🙄….
Both Japan and Taiwan have nuclear power plants, but do they have weapons grade material? Can that be manufactured in secret?
What is it about the left that wants to;
-Disarm ourselves in the face of evil.
-Hobble our energy production such that we enrich and are dependent upon our enemies to power our homes.
-Think and talk as though words will stop a division of tanks with bad intentions.
-Deceive and lie, but expect our adversaries with bad intentions to tell the truth, and adhere to treaties.
Unless we can “wake the woke” in this country, we better start learning to speak Russian and Chinese. Were screwed.
Weapons grade plutonium?
If they, Japan and Taiwan, want it they probably have it or can get it.
They are both probably wanting it right about now.
I would say that right about now Obama’s dream of a “nuclear free world” is being recognized as a delusion of the ignorant and naive .
I find it so interesting the Press. Of Ukraine announced he was handing out guns to anyone who wanted one....or two or three. So a country invasion justifies it except for the USA when there border is being invaded.
We need to not only replace our aging nuclear arsenal.
We need to expand it’s upload capability if the Russians decide to break out of the New Start treaty, and we need to start plutonium pit production capability to a minimum of 2000 a year, which is what Russia has right now.
Nope. It could never stay a secret. Far too much equipment and expertise needed. Plus, all nuclear materials are traced and they give off specific signatures.
Of course ....... the shiny bauble in this hand shown, diverts the eyes away from the closed fist of the other hand.
If a baker makes bread for a 12 loaf order he will always make enough for a bakers dozen . Materials not assembled or mixed such as yeast , salt, flour, sugar aren’t counted or controlled or inventoried carefully . Just the number of loaves on the cooling rack produced are secured.
Just enough left on the floor to maybe make a Yellow Cake for a friend.
Just my opinion of course. RIP Rocky Flats Colorado .....
When assembled

Don’t know. Although the Israelis are non-committal about whether or not they have the bomb it’s an open secret that they do indeed have deployable nukes ready to go. And, Surrounding countries are aware of that. About Taiwan and Japan; I’m guessing that U.S. intelligence knows exactly what they have, how well developed, deployable status, etc.
Amen!
81 Million,,,
I Truly Hate That Number.
