No, Nope, No: It Is Not Time for a Civil War: Everyone out there asking whether it's time to "use the guns" against the government needs a hard and fast answer in the negative
American Thinker ^ | 02/23/2022 | Jeremy Egerer

Posted on 02/23/2022 7:10:16 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Charlie Kirk was asked recently, at one of his lectures, whether now is a good time to "use the guns."  He answered that it isn't, and I agree with him but only partially for the reasons he stated.

Simply put, the idea that right-wingers could start a revolution and win one, at this point in history, is comedy — and no, I don't care if that's the sole reason we have a Second Amendment and we have more AR-15s.  First off, we don't own any of the institutions — including any branches of the military, which, although staffed with lots of great and respectable men, are currently run by woman-drafters, white-shamers, and tranny-loving butt-kissers

I would add to this that social and big media are owned almost entirely by the left wing, which means we have no platform to mass-communicate.  Do we run the CIA, or the FBI, or any national organization built to maintain law and order in a crisis?  No — all of it is in possession of the left wing, which gives leftists a clear advantage in organization and persecution.

More importantly, I would posit that these United States are so completely interdependent that any kind of real split, even without bloodshed, would result in mass starvation and eventually death.  This isn't the 1860s, when clothes could be homespun and farms were all family-owned.  There isn't a single business in these states that maintains its existence within a single state: everyone is dependent on other businesses in other states, and many times in other countries, to supply what he needs to function on even a basic level.

The more radical abolitionist elements wished foremost to destroy the south and kill as many white slave owners and their families as possible

The purging and cleansing as they deemed it

John Brown was their tool

Preserving the union was certainly a better sounding war cry lol

And “let’s go south to free the darkies while we ignore our own”didn’t sound too appealing either

I’m extremely leery of an armed civil war or regional insurrection now having been around 2-3 of varying intensity ....Sierra Leone, Columbia , Haiti...more a series of low violence to high violence coups centered in PAP...

Our tools of destruction are off the charts compared to muskets and cannon

Separation would be preferable but as many have pointed out

Cities with high concentrations of black voters and white leftists are the problem

Few rural areas outside black belt and delta southern counties and Indian reservations are democrat voting today....very few in comparison

I think relegating cultural laws to states would help enormously and a decrease in federalization....something Abe enhanced more than any other American who lived before or since...that war diminished state sovereignty precipitously

Sullivan Ballou Letter (1st episode of Ken Burns Civil War)
July 14, 1861
Camp Clark, Washington

My very dear Sarah: The indications are very strong that we shall move in a few days — perhaps tomorrow. Lest I should not be able to write again, I feel impelled to write a few lines that may fall under your eye when I shall be no more …

I have no misgivings about, or lack of confidence in the cause in which I am engaged, and my courage does not halt or falter. I know how strongly American Civilization now leans on the triumph of the Government and how great a debt we owe to those who went before us through the blood and sufferings of the Revolution. And I am willing — perfectly willing — to lay down all my joys in this life, to help maintain this Government, and to pay that debt …

Sarah my love for you is deathless, it seems to bind me with mighty cables that nothing but Omnipotence could break; and yet my love of Country comes over me like a strong wind and bears me unresistibly on with all these chains to the battle field.

The memories of the blissful moments I have spent with you come creeping over me, and I feel most gratified to God and to you that I have enjoyed them for so long. And hard it is for me to give them up and burn to ashes the hopes of future years, when, God willing, we might still have lived and loved together, and seen our sons grown up to honorable manhood, around us. I have, I know, but few and small claims upon Divine Providence, but something whispers to me — perhaps it is the wafted prayer of my little Edgar, that I shall return to my loved ones unharmed. If I do not my dear Sarah, never forget how much I love you, and when my last breath escapes me on the battle field, it will whisper your name. Forgive my many faults and the many pains I have caused you. How thoughtless and foolish I have often times been! How gladly would I wash out with my tears every little spot upon your happiness …

But, O Sarah! If the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you; in the gladdest days and in the darkest nights … always, always, and if there be a soft breeze upon your cheek, it shall be my breath, as the cool air fans your throbbing temple, it shall be my spirit passing by. Sarah do not mourn me dead; think I am gone and wait for thee, for we shall meet again …

More Information:
Sullivan Ballou was killed a week later at the First Battle of Bull Run, July 21, 1861.

For these people, triumphant Rome is alive and well and Caesar is Lord.

I think that our 2A is still an effective deterrent just like a yellow jacket's sting. When the grabbing stops, we'll need to worry.

It’s pretty effective but commies have control of the MIL. The MIL has the weaponry. All of it for itself. Never fully trust the MIL. Our best Founders didn’t. And commies LOVE the MIL. They just were upset at the ancient status quo in America that it was reliably patriotic. Never believe their crap about “loathing the MIL”.

We were warned about the danger of allowing the government to obtain a standing army, and we did not listen.

History has no exception. The government’s army will eventually be used against the citizens. No law can stop it. No constitution can stop it. No court can stop it. No Congress can stop it.

No tax revolt?

Well then, who do we as a force target?

I would think....the confiscators?

For war there has to be a definitive target...they have to reveal themselves.

A tax revolt or, at the very least creating a shadow economy with the purpose of tax evasion seems like part of a war strategy to put the beast back on it’s heels.

The tyrants will reveal themselves...

The targets will reveal themselves....

They are revealing themselves more each day.

I don’t want war, I want election integrity...everything hinges on it.

Without election integrity there will be war...don’t want.

War makes no sense if Democrats are about to be slaughtered in the next election.

Makes no sense if the republicans are no more than shadow dems.

Elections still work if the party in power can be voted out. Ergo, you have to use the electoral system.

That is far and away better than the ruin war would bring in a lawless nation of a civil war.

I did say that this is the time to prepare infrastructure which is parallel and strong.

But war at this time is not only premature but not the most optimal in a system where elections still have significance.

I assume you have seen the “red” vs “blue” USA map (of counties).

The red part, that’s us. The blue part, that’s them. I don’t see your problem.

I think you would see hordes of people joining their state militia if we were faced with conflict and tyranny from fed gov. Many will not be a part of one now because it places you on a list. Many feds are moles in these organizations and would need to be flushed out.

”They are revealing themselves more each day.”

I think this is key.

I mentioned in a posting above my lack of empathy for Antifa goons who take the law into their own hands. They deserve extra-judicial treatment.

The same holds true for the Canadian government. Without due process the Canadian government is attempting to punish people by confiscating their bank accounts. That same government has attempted to punish people who refuse to use government approved pronouns.

Our own government has mandated the wearing of masks, improperly shifting the burden of proving the ineffectiveness of such masks to those whom they would punish for not wearing them. Only the threat of massive election losses in November has caused them to relent, perhaps only temporarily.

The enemies of freedom are revealing themselves. The rumors of bank runs in Canada are an indication that, if Atlas shrugged, the world might topple from his protective grasp.

“That is undercover FBI Agents and their Informants that are saying “Use the guns” against the Government. Stay away from them. And immediately call the FBI on them.”

Call the local cops instead. With reasonable luck the local cops will not know who the agent provocateur is—and will treat them like an actual criminal.

The Feds will intervene eventually, but it may take them time to get around to it...

We were attacked by a biological weapon, had our election stolen, and have Marxist apparatchiks at all levels of govt. The country is now imploding.

All made possible by the abrogation of the Constitution on Usurpation Day.

The children of foreigners ARE foreigners, even if we foolishly give them citizenship.

Only those born with only ONE nationality are NATURALLY Americans.

It was that singularity of nationality that the founders were requiring.

RE: This article is stupid. All one has to do is look at the 2020 election map by counties to see how dumb this article is.

YEP, A lot of good that map did on November 2020. How many people live in the red part of the map vs the blue part?

You go gettem Bayard!

I too am filled with hope and righteousness every time Speaker McCarthy, or leader McConnell, rises to the podium---NOT.

I didn't, by the way, say a word about preferring war to peace. Seems to me that even now our stellar reps in Washington are much more eager to wage their battles across the sea, not here at home.

How often recently have you heard the present bunch hog the cameras at FOX, talking about the great changes they plan to deliver in the next term, balanced budgets, marvelous infrastructure, tax fairness and reduction, healthy happy school teachers, students, and families?

And you think we are sitting pretty now? All across the fruited plain?

At any rate keep the good news coming. I for one am derned ready for a miracle or two.

Bring 'em on!

There’s a difference between a civil war and a revolution.

Either one would be bad. But the revolution isn’t about “winning” or “secession”. It’s about destroying the entire system and starting from scratch with a gun in your face.

That’s what the Left thinks they want.... they are idiots.
