Speaking from the East Room at the White House Tuesday afternoon, President Joe Biden announced new sanctions on Russian banks, sovereign debt and oligarchs after President Vladimir Putin launched an invasion into Ukraine Monday.
"This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine," Biden said. "I'm going to begin to impose sanctions in response."

The remarks come less than 24 hours after White House national security officials wavered on the definition of "invasion," contradicting the position from Biden in January.
"President Biden has been clear with the Russian President: If any Russian military forces move across the Ukrainian border, that’s a renewed invasion, and it will be met with a swift, severe, and united response from the United States and our Allies," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki released in a clean up statement on January 19, 2022 after Biden indicated a "minor incursion" into Ukraine was acceptable. "President Biden also knows from long experience that the Russians have an extensive playbook of aggression short of military action, including cyberattacks and paramilitary tactics. And he affirmed today that those acts of Russian aggression will be met with a decisive, reciprocal, and united response."
In addition, Biden announced new U.S. troop movements and equipment in the NATO countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He also braced Americans for consequences at home.

Joe Biden has to help Ukraine...be doesn’t have a choice.
Think of all the dirt Ukraine has on the Big Guy and his son. AND...when Putin takes Ukraine, he’ll inherit that very useful dirt.
Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada should start worrying:
Thanks to Biden’s border policies, Mexico may soon sense an opportunity.

Everyone recalls Biden’s dumb remark that the U.S. might soft-pedal its response if Russia engaged in only a “minor incursion” in Ukraine.
Well, surprise, surprise! Given the green light from Biden, Russia is unilaterally annexing only a portion of Ukraine.
There’s its “minor incursion.” Biden is trying to talk and act tough but, of course, it’s too late. And here’s something to ponder: Don’t think that can’t happen here.
> Wouldn’t this CRAP all end if NATO took in Ukraine?? <
Frederick the Great once said, “He who defends everything defends nothing.” I think that applies here. If we keep expanding our promises we will eventually be boxed into a corner. Then we must either back down or risk WW III.
In a way it’s like playing no-limit poker. Calling all-in repeatedly can shake up your opponent...until he tires of being put in that position. Then the game becomes a dangerous coin flip.
I would guess that Brandon is a lousy poker player and that Putin is quite skilled.
LOL, what a shitshow
Don’t count on Trump just mocking Putin. I feel sure Trump knew exactly what was going to happen. He’s not in the least upset about it and neither should you be.
It’s been pretty much a foregone conclusion that Crimea and those two regions are gone, and have been gone for a long time. It’s a bargaining chip for Putin to get what he really wants, a declaration that Ukraine will never join NATO, not unlike the similar agreement there is with regards to Austria.
Yes I have said several times that there are two things Putin cannot countenance. Losing his military port on the Black Sea and the Ukraine joining NATO.
Once you take the red pill and realize that NATO and the EU are New World Order its easy to understand why they are so eager to control the Ukraine and turn it against Russia. Russia is not NWO.
There is no organic reason why Russia and the Ukraine should not be allies any more than we are allies with Mexico and Canada. Putin is not going to invade the Ukraine. They are broke and corrupt. Putin doesn’t need more land he just doesn’t want NATO military bases on his border. Who can blame him.
Biden Announces New Sanctions on Russia
The U.S. is only going to buy 1 million not 2 million barrels of oil from Russia this month.
Sanctions is the perfect way to make and keep friends.
“After Clarifying the Definition of ‘Invasion,’ Dementia Joe Announces New Sanctions on Russia”
Democrat/RINO Playbook 101: start a war AFTER you f**k things up at home ...
“This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Dementia Joe said.
“President Dementia Joe has been clear with the Russian President: If any Russian military forces move across the Ukrainian border, that’s a renewed invasion”
A. WTF is the “beginning” of an invasion?
B. WTF is a “renewed” invasion ... does that mean there was a previous or currently ongoing “invasion”?]
sanctions don't work, but neither does Brandon's brain.
Trump is an American Nationalist, as am I.
He cares about American interests and recognizes that China is the primary enemy of the US.
However, keep in mind he slaughtered about 200 Russian Spetznaz Wagner guy in Syria when the Russians were caught trying to overrun a Special Ops HQ calling in airstrikes against ISIS. Trump has balls. Biden is ball less.
“Putin is not going to invade the Ukraine.”
Which you have been claiming for weeks, months.
And for which you are wrong - as usual.
You have earned a big bowl of claim chowder.
You tell FReepers to turn off the TV to see what is really going on. I will recommend you stop listening to Simon Parkes - he has no idea what is going on.
