Lt. Col. (ret) Allen West has gotten behind many great causes in his career after the military. The Texas gubernatorial candidate is now putting his clout behind the American versions of the Freedom Convoy in Canada, and he’s not alone. Rocker Ted Nugent is going to participate as well.
Here’s the release from LTC West’s site:
Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West and Ted Nugent will be joining the American Truckers Freedom Convoy/Frontline Truckers as they travel across the state of Texas. This will occur sometime next week in south Texas.
Lt. Col. West stated:
“I am proud to join the peaceful protest inspired by our freedom-loving brothers and sisters to the north. Our constitution gives citizens the right to peaceably assemble and to petition their government for redress of grievances.
“The actions taken by the truckers in Ottawa and across Canada have been heroic, and I am proud to join a protest that was inspired by them. Totalitarian vaccine mandates and mask mandates have no place in the West let alone Texas. We cannot allow draconian measures to be cemented by leftist tyrants.”
Truckers have been the backbone of the American economy and supply chain, and their efforts to stand in the gap against tyranny have been inspiring. It is these working-class men and women who have answered the call to protect our constitutional rights from petty bureaucrats. God bless them for their stand.
Truckers and patriots across North America are doing what they can to oppose draconian vaccine mandates being invoked by governments and private companies alike. The Freedom Convoy in Canada has brought out the true totalitarian nature of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who reacted by activating the Emergencies Act and continuing to have convoy participants and their supporters persecuted even as the protests have ended in Ottawa.

Supposedly starts off with a rally in Adelanto, CA (not Barstow) tomorrow.
But info is never clear or forthcoming.
Way to go LTC West and Uncle Ted!

Another website with route info:

The “I-10” route/convoy is leaving from near FR HQ (Fresno, CA) on March 2nd at 7pm.
I hope these guys aren’t just going around the country to block traffic in misc American cities; sure way to get the populace POed at whatever they’re trying to accomplish - stopping working people from getting to work or when on their way home to have supper probably won’t exactly win the people over.
Says they aren’t actually going in to DC.
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸👌🤙🏼👏
I leave next Wednesday
People don't like that privately owned companies want to control their own workplaces so they're going to convoy to DC?
What do they want the government to do about it?
Here’s their website if you’re interested: thepeoplesconvoy.org
Thanks.
thanks Col. West for the courage to add your name to this people’s protest.
it’s time to stand up for freedom in America. you won’t see many other gop politicians doing this. God’s speed to you and the Trucker’s Convoy. may God lead, protect and guide your peaceable cause and may all the evil plan’s of the devil against it amount to nothing.
Amen!
Maybe freeze your bank account or shame you online?
To join the convoy?
From FL?
thank you maam
Yeah that seems to be the date of departure (Wed. 3/2/22) for the West Coast (& others??) truckers on that one website I listed. But there appears that there are several organizers/websites:

and
https://thepeoplesconvoy.org (Their press release is here: https://thepeoplesconvoy.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Press-Release-Feb-21-FINAL.pdf)
Dr. Robert Malone weighs in on that one: https://rwmalonemd.substack.com/p/press-release-american-truckers-are
