What is an energy starved world going to say to Putin? No, we don’t want your energy. I think not. Because of biden, Putin holds all the cards. And he knows it.

More please, and we don't mind if you have to charge more to defray your invasion expenses.

“Because of biden,”

Actually Biden has very little to do with it.

The first Nordstream provides 33% of Europe’s gas, and the Ukrainian pipeline another 15-20%. That’s been in place for decades.

And it’s why Russia will not be cut off from international banking. It’s the only way to pay for the gas and keep it flowing.

Cut it off and a lot of people will die. And economies will suffer greatly. Prices up on everything.

Not to mention Russian oil, and they are the world’s largest producer of crude.

Any talk of “cutting Russia off from the world” is simply ludicrous ignorance.

So he may as well take Poland too, at least they are a prosperous democracy.

Russia is also the No 1 exporter of wheat. Those prices are already very high.

Why would Russia want Poland? Does the USA want Mexico or Cuba?

It’s amusing that it is the west that is now pushing for global Marxism while Putin blames communism for the loss of the Soviet Union. The west is on the downslope of the cylce of stupidity and incomepetence.

"A chicken is not a bird, Poland is not abroad." It's a Russian saying back from Czarist times.

Not sure how we can compare Poland to Mexico or Cuba?

With the price of oil rising over this debacle, Putin only gets richer. He will have all the finances he needs to run his war.

Is that the Biden pay-off? Was that the blackmail of the Ukraine?

Just because it’s next-door? What does Poland have that Russia wants?

Biden could hurt Putin badly by producing more energy, which would help our economy while hurting his.

Russia’s economy has been described as a big gas station and little more. At around $60 a barrel most of our fields everywhere are profitable, and our economy would be better balanced while his would hurt big.

And there wouldn’t be a thing he could do about it. We are propping him up while hurting ourselves.

Former territory?

From 1795 to 1918, Poland was split between Prussia, the Habsburg Monarchy, and Russia and had no independent existence.

I think Putin said Ukraine was formerly Russia, so he wants it back, so it's consistent thinking.

“ Biden could hurt Putin badly by producing more energy, which would help our economy while hurting his.”

Yes he could, but he won’t…at least he won’t do it in a big way. As Trump’s base is border control and MAGA, Biden’s base is anti-oil and totally brain-washed by “climate change.” If he does anything, his political support craters to single digits. The only way he could restore to where it is now it is to go full-on Trudeau gestapo on conservatives, Christians and whites. The only thing his base hates more than fossil fuels is US.

It’s the only real non violent option we have.

As for Europe, they have no option. They simply must keep the gas and oil flowing.

Unless they build a few dozen nuke plants and convert everything to electric. That’s several trillion dollars and a couple of decades.
