President Biden said on Friday that he would extend the national emergency that was first declared in March 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The additional authority had been set to expire on March 1.
The decision, contained in a letter from Mr. Biden to Congress that the White House made public, comes as a wave of coronavirus cases driven by the highly transmissible Omicron variant recedes in the United States, and many states and localities ease pandemic restrictions.
But the pandemic is taking a continuing toll on the country. As of Friday, more than 75,000 Americans were hospitalized with the virus. Deaths, which lag case counts by as much as several weeks, are increasing in 14 states, and remain at almost 2,300 a day nationally.
“The Covid-19 pandemic continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the nation,” Mr. Biden wrote in the letter. “More than 900,000 people in this nation have perished from the disease, and it is essential to continue to combat and respond to Covid-19 with the full capacity and capability of the federal government.”
A national emergency conveys special powers. It frees the federal government from abiding by some legal constraints, allowing it to spend additional money and more easily take certain actions.

Yep, everybody will be required to submit a mail-in ballot. All ballots not supporting the regime will be replaced with “corrected” ballots.

Did anyone reading the NYT’s take on this read about the expiration date of FJB’s extension? I read thru it twice and didn’t see it.

Nigella Sativa. The oil most favored by the “prophet” Muhammad, may pork be upon him.

Those liberal goons will try to get as much milage out of it as they can. Aside from that Putin just got one upon them by putting some of the eastern split away part of the Ukraine under his protection, that should cheer them up. At least Putin doesn’t buy into that crap which is being taught by that crony Klaus Schwab and his cohorts and implemented by some of those crooked world leaders as in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Indeed, just last year, Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF)—a famous organization made up of the world’s political, economic, and cultural elites that meets annually in Davos, Switzerland—and Thierry Malleret, co-founder and main author of the Monthly Barometer, published a book called COVID-19: The Great Reset. In the book, they define the Great Reset as a means of addressing the “weaknesses of capitalism” that were purportedly exposed by the COVID pandemic.
As long as they can line their pockets and rip off the public everything is just fine and dandy

You local news outlets need to know that they won’t be taken seriously when they start up with their narrative support.

The SOTU speech next week will mark the end of the Biden presidency. He will appear so dazed and confused in the face of the global crap he caused that a move in his cabinet will be made against him. God help us all.

Because it isn’t there. This time there is no expiration date.
It is only supposed to be a year, they didn’t put a date on it this time.
Good Luck, it is all about to get worse.

But methinks that president biden admires Trudoh’s ‘manliness’ and thinks he can get away with also suspending our rights. That might be the scare event that wakes up the sheep who haven’t been paying attention.
Then again, it might not. If I were a betting man I'd put my money on the "might not". Pardon my pessimism, but it seems to me Americans by and large have become apathetic about their precious freedoms, and might just calmly acquiesce to losing them.
I understand a majority of Canadians now support the government in whatever they decide to do to the truckers and anyone who approves of their efforts. It's infinitely sad to watch. God bless the truckers, but their financial lives are possibly ruined now. I don't see anything short of a national strike and perhaps a shooting war to be effective in rolling back the tyranny. These devils in the government are totally committed to their dystopian agenda in my opinion. I hope I'm totally wrong in my assessment.

Just in time for the upcoming midterm selections.
The fraud is so deep and perfected now that I wouldn't be shocked to wake up the morning after to find the Dems have gained some seats in the House and several in the Senate. Not shocked at all. Universal mail-in ballots, stuffed into drop boxes by hired mules in the dead of night. Computer software tweaked to choose Democrat candidates. Etc, etc.
Covid, Covid, Covid. Variants galore. Never-ending 'emergency'.
