The bestresponse IMO was Todd Whitman’s to Clinton in ‘95. It was just after the Red Wave of ‘94 and it was done in the GOP controlled NJ Assembly with flags, color guard, Jersey troopers and many standing O’s. The visuals were great. If Va. GOP could repeat that it would be visually effective.
Worst response? Hands down Bobby Jindal.
A dehydrated Marco Rubio was pretty bad. Dole in 96 (I think) was awful.
