I would think that if “impartial journalism” is actually established as a standard, many of the a-holes at CNN will be leaving - either because they CAN’T do impartial journalism, or they REFUSE to do impartial journalism. They’ll have to apply over at MSNBC.

A billionaire Trump-donor who is the largest shareholder at Discovery ... insisted on Jeff Zucker's resignation after learning of his affair with colleague Allison Gollust.

This does not smell right. I don't think that is the reason. Zucker announced he was leaving early last year. The affair was an open secret for years. Cuomo knows where lots of bodies are buried. Why Zucker would not pay off Cuomo per the contract is not clear. But it could be that when Cuomo was fired he would not sign an NDA about all he had seen at CNN. So Zucker refused to pay out Cuomo's contract and invited retaliation from Cuomo. No inside info here, just speculation.
