CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said Wednesday that he is resigning, effective immediately.

Zucker said in a memo, "As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo's tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn't. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today."

25 years ago I remember being surprised at the number of relationships going on in the company where I worked. It was a “young company” with people working tons of hours, weekends, nights, etc. But these were the people “running stuff.” I bailed out of there shortly thereafter. In my next job it wasn’t as bad; but it was still there. I finally worked for myself. No one was getting laid in that office.

What do you have against people "enjoying each other's company" - as long as it's on their own time?

CNN's 'news' people were clueless about 'news' right under their noses for... maybe twenty years? Either they're blind or lying... which is a perfect symbolic representation of CNN...

I had a friend whose wife was a senior manager in a large corporation. He found himself working in the same organizational hierarchy after a reorganization, and his direct team leader didn't trust him because she was afraid he'd go home at night and tell his wife his workday, which might not be the same thing that his team leader was reporting up through channels.
