Rachel Maddow made it official Monday night, informing her audience (as Insider's Claire Atkinson first reported earlier in the day) that she will be taking a two-month leave of absence, starting on Friday, from her MSNBC program. "Just like late-night hosts sometimes go on hiatus and their shows, I'm gonna go on hiatus here for a little bit from the show," Maddow said. She will be working on other projects, including the feature film, directed by Ben Stiller, based off her podcast and book "Bag Man," and a new podcast.
Maddow said viewers can expect her to return to her normal hosting duties in April. And she said she will continue to participate in coverage of big news events, such as Biden's State of the Union address. But she acknowledged that this will not be her only hiatus. There "may eventually be another hiatus again sometime in my future," Maddow said, "but we are just taking it one step at a time." As we first reported last year, her new contract with NBCU gives her the freedom to step away from the daily show starting, well, right now...

No one with any brain’s cares.
There are some - fortunately very few - who will watch and believe MSNBC no matter who is on. So they can rearrange all they want but the numbers will not go up.
They could save some cash by just rebroadcasting North Korean state media 24/7.
It might actually improve their viewership!
Who? LOL.
I’m one of many who won’t notice her absence.
Thought she was retiring?
Now the one remaining viewer won’t have anything to watch.
I can’t remember a single time when I watched anything on MSNBC. Perhaps in its earliest days something might have caught my attention while changing channels, but if so it would have been a rare occurrence. So whatever their *cough* talent *cough cough* does is none of my concern.
So ‘Pat’ is taking a haitus? Remember this date when April rolls around and she still isn’t ‘back’.
What’s the over/under on Maddow’s return in two months?
I saw this twit this morning
So,
She says she’s in self quarantine
Cuz
She says she tested positive
she says she’s not sick
she says she’s vaxxed
Is she’s not sick why is she at home ?
If she tested positive is she sick ?
If she’s sick , the Vax didn’t work ?
If she tested positive, but isn’t sick does the test not work ?
If she was trying to make any credibile statement
all she did was show what a dupliciouse twit she is.
Good thing she quit her day job

Winter Olympics preempt all the NBCs.
