Nils Lofgren announced Saturday that he's removing his music from Spotify to protest vaccine misinformation propagated by Joe Rogan.
The 70-year-old Bruce Springsteen guitarist made the announcement in solidarity with Neil Young, who removed his music from Spotify days earlier, by making his announcement in Young's newsletter.
Joni Mitchell has also followed suit by taking her music off the service in protest.

The disembodied “voice” of an artist can say all kinds of things through their art and connect with people of different bents. It’s different when they come out of the shadows and verbally tell YOU personally how to live, what to listen to, who to buy from. They are now politicians, trying to hide behind their fame and artistic persona to avoid scrutiny.

Nope. Never heard of them.
So I just tried to Google " WOW I NEVER KNEW YOU." and nothing came up.
Then I googled "TOO BAD" and found a song by Nickelback from 2001 which of course I've never heard of.
Then I Googled "GO LIGHT UP A BIG FAT ONE" and the hits I got were for a different song by the Cypress Hill Gang from the soundtrack of the movie Friday.
Now tell me again what that has to do with the unknown Nils Lofgren (at least by me and Google).
I have heard of Bruce Springsteen with his hits "Born in the USA" and "Born to Run." So there's that. I have also never had the urge to join Spotify or any one of the streaming music platforms. I'd rather get my music on the run.

Captain Phil was awesome. Yesterday was 11 years since he had the stroke, Feb 9th will be 11 years since he died.
This is my third Freeper nom de plum - I was so moved by his death I changed it on a very short whim. I’ve actually been an ignorant smart ass around here since ... 1999 or thereabouts. I was schooled by - what was then - the best, the senior class of Mia T, Little Green Footballs, ect., and et al.

Now, from all the dope they’ve smoked their brains are hard (not malleable-like Joe Bidend and Afghanistan, Joe was incapable of changing his mind. His brain got hard).
The same hippies, in the Vatican, are desperately trying to write into canon law old Vatican II policies that were meant to kill the church.

I’ll bet none of them even know the exact, specific reasons for why theyre pulling their music from spotify. Sure, Neil Young gave some vague reason about Rogan spreading covid misinformation. But just what misinformation is that and exactly how is it “misinformation”? I’ll bet neither Neil Young, Joni, etc, could explain it in any detail, much less prove it.
So send money to Rogan and ask him to give it to Spotify... He will OWN it before this stupidity is done.

Canada gives preferential airplay to Canadian artists on radio in Canada by LAW. Socialist LAW... and their dominance from the air play played over the border into Detroit, Buffalo, Chi-town and the rest of the New England Folkie Socialist crowd— people like Bernie Sanders when... younger.
Real American artists had to slug it out touring, and try to get INTO Canada for tour dates but often shut out. Canadian Bands and their management did this.
