Joni Mitchell announced Friday that she will join her friend Neil Young in pulling her music off of Spotify.
Mitchell, 78, said in a statement posted to her website, “I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify. Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.”
Mitchell, who like Young survived polio as a child, also linked to an open letter signed by hundreds of doctors and medical professionals who said that Spotify’s top podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” promotes “baseless conspiracy theories and has a concerning history of broadcasting misinformation, particularly regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Seriously, he said it was a stupid twitter rumor and he wants to stay on Spotify.

Funny. These singers used to buck “the man” that’s what their songs were all about. And now that they’re rich and famous, they embrace the man .
Sad to see people who you would think of as progressive and open minded, being so unprogressive and closed minded. Just because the scientist you trust recommend getting vaccinated, doesn’t mean that the scientist who recommend not getting vaccinated are wrong.
The biggest selling point of getting vaccinated was not that the vaccines would save you, it was that the vaccines would save you from getting infected and then you can save others with weak immune systems, especially very young and older people who typically get the regular flu vaccines, from getting infected.
Sadly, the vaccines do not prevent you from getting Covid, so you can still become infected and pass on that infection to others... So what was the point of vaccines? The point of them is now completely moot...
Joni and Neil have been hoodwinked, and now they’re trying to continue on with hoodwinking everybody else... Good luck with that.
