I’m sure there are. We have drilling for oil here since the 1920s and then we also drill for water for irrigation, etc. I just hope they don’t get any worse. We never had them much till about the past year.
I zoomed in on Google Maps and could see several of them - - some, pretty large. Makes sense that the ground would let go after a while over the voids. It happens here due to caves running under the whole area, though not as large as I saw in your area. Something let go under the other house a few years ago with a loud BOOM and shook the house. Scared the heck out of me and the cats. Now I can see the roofline sagging over the spot where it happened. One day I expect to see the house has collapsed. It’s one reason I wanted to move over here.
