Unvaccinated Americans don’t dislike the vaccinated with the same intensity
Nearly a year after the first coronavirus vaccine was administered in the United States, about 1 in 5 American adults have yet to get vaccinated. By doing so, they remain at a greater risk for contracting, spreading and dying from the virus. That prolongs the pandemic, public health experts say.
SNIP
First, both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals think of themselves positively. Vaccinated individuals most often report words like “smart,” “safe,” “good,” “responsible,” “caring” and “protected” when describing other vaccinated people. When respondents were asked to assign a sentiment to their word, 90 percent of vaccinated Americans report a positive feeling. At the same time, unvaccinated individuals report words like “smart,” “cautious,” “scared,” “normal,” “good” and “independent” when describing other unvaccinated individuals. While only 56 percent of unvaccinated citizens report a positive sentiment, that’s still a majority.
Second, most vaccinated individuals dislike the unvaccinated. They most commonly characterize these individuals as “stupid,” “selfish,” “ignorant,” “dumb,” “unsafe” and “foolish.” A majority of vaccinated people, fully 58 percent, report that their word conveys a negative sentiment. When we examine how positively vaccinated individuals feel toward their own group compared with how negatively they feel toward the unvaccinated, we find that 72 percent of vaccinated individuals feel more positively about vaccinated individuals than they do about the unvaccinated and only 23 percent feel roughly the same about both groups.

Only 1 in 5? I know multiple people who have the card and are not vaxxed.
...I’ll chime in with the same sentiments....my wife and I are both vaxxed (we are traveling some this year and the cruise line, tour company, etc. all demand we be vaxxed AND have a booster shot...!), but I hold no animus for the un-vaxxed...live and let live...they don’t pose any danger to my family or me......
How much do Freepers dislike the Washington Post? That’s a good question.
I’ve talked to three nurses in the last week, one ICU and two Covid recovery specialists (my wife had Covid and was hospitalized for three days. I had the mild cold version.) None of them trusted the vaccines and none were vaxxed, none of their family members were vaxxed, none would even consider taking Remesdivar, and they all thought Fauci should retire or be fired. They also all said don’t watch the news. That the image they try to portray of an overtaxed hospital system is not reality in their big city hospitals. Took my wife to the ER two Sundays ago. Literally took three minutes from check in until we were being taken to a room to be looked at. No body bags, no long lines, no diversion to another hospital because of overcrowding. Nobody was stressed. Just a normal night at the ER.
Neither my wife nor I are vaxxed, only ones in our family who aren’t. And we get no crap from friends or family about our status.
The posters in this thread who mention the hatred being a manifestation of buyers remorse have it right.
There have been articles in various places over the last week about the booster campaign sinking fast. Something like 40% have had boosters and participation is declining.
A lot of people took in too much fear pron, panicked and trusted the government and now feel like suckers. To be fair, they were also conned by the once respected medical establishment, which shat on informed consent by ignoring side effects.
“they remain at a greater risk for contracting, spreading and dying from the virus”
Still haven’t caught it in 2 years, while I know plenty of vaccinated people who have. How long do I have to wait for this extremely dangerous and virulent pandemic to find me???
They are worn down by fear ... and they HATE that we are not. I can see the weariness in the eyes of my children who suffer the pain and misery of living in a big city like San Francisco or Sacramento out here.
It truly feels like a different world just crossing the county line from Placer County into Sacramento County ... I can only imagine (but very much appreciate and respect) the difference if I were to go from California to Florida.
That’s right!
As a pureblood, I worry about the jabbed, and fear that they might be gravely harmed by the notavax.
Thanks for the post.
There has obviously been a psyop committed on the public. We know the profile of those at risk and if they want this very short lived protection, so be it. No one in my close circle is jabbed for a variety of reasons.
I have no clue what they think they will do in six months when the next variant takes over, but the paltry 40% getting boosted tells me the gig is up on what is an obvious scam being played on healthy people…..with unknown consequences.
Washington Post - always there to sew the seeds of division.
‘Just mind your own business and keep your hands to yourself—no problems.’
indeed; but sowing discord was the intent behind launching the vaccines and using them as the threshold that needed to be crossed in order to return to normalcy...
in a sane world, therapeutics and prevention would have been emphasized as well as the vaccines; but then nothing could serve as a cudgel to incite one faction of the populace against another, so as to set up a scapegoat...
Those who are hiding in their parents basement waiting to get the next jab as soon as Lord Faucci says so have always disliked everyone
Why study this to begin with?
Libs only want to divide people.
Polls are all bull crap.
Twas a time..when a poke meant something different.....
Hey Sharif, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your arm pits.
This motivates me to purchase more guns and ammunition.
