How ignorant could they be about the cold if they were walking SOUTH out of Canada?
Let’s just call this a collective Darwin Award and move on.
“Relatives and neighbors of the Patels said the family left for Canada on a visitor's visa about a week before the migrants were found. The family is said to have paid the equivalent of about $1,000 to an immigration agent to get them to the United States.”
They were not from Canada, but India. Had only been in Canada less than a week. They left India with the intention of being smuggled into the USA from Canada. This sounds like we have a problem at our Northern border also.
