Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has tested positive for Covid, and is unvaccinated, a federal judge told a courtroom Monday just as a civil defamation trial involving the one-time-Alaska governor and the New York Times was set to begin.
Palin, who disclosed in March that she had been diagnosed then with the coronavirus, said last month that she will get a Covid-19 vaccine “over my dead body.”

You could be right about that. Perhaps it's dependent on how many cells get the zinc. Zinc will stop replication within a cell, but only when it gets into the cells. It won't stop replication in cells that didn't absorb the zinc.

I hear you. I’m sixty five and the two times in my life I was the sickest, both were bouts with the flu. I’m sorry you got it as bad as I have before. Thank goodness, you are far from the norm. Those personal bouts I spoke of, I knew of others whose asses were kicked as badly as mine by that flu variant. We are very lucky that this flu is generally very, very mild. With your symptoms, most probably you had a non Covid flu. Just because we’ve witnessed the biggest scam in human history doesn’t mean we stopped contracting the traditional old flu we’ve always had.

One doesn't "test" for a disease, one is "diagnosed" for disease.

Again, one is not "diagnosed" with a virus, one is "tested" for the virus. Not all viruses lead to disease.
We test for pathogens; we diagnose for diseases.
So Palin picks up a virus, happens to all of us everyday. We carry viruses everyday. It's just we don't see them as our immune system takes them out. We are asymptomatic for disease. A virus that doesn't cause symptoms is almost never known to us unless our immune system degrades.
I want her to take the "prohibited therapeutic drug" and get well, and then announce her success with the Ivermectin, to spite the fraudsters.

My hubby was 54 last year when he got it. I 51. Were fine. While it wasn’t great, and some parts were the worst, overall my husband never had it worse than his pneumonia a few years back, nor my bout with a “URI” when I was 25. That was God-awful. And I was alone.
This alleged case-fatality rate of this is 1.5%. If that. Having a lot of experience with COVID I have to question even the number of cases pro and con. So it’s very possible the CFR is very tiny in truth.
She will be fine, as last year.
And we still haven’t heard is she was or is “symptomatic” (another reason to question those numbers).

Re the judge being vaccinated, he should be forced to recuse himself because of his unprofessional comment about Palin, “Of course she is unvaccinated”. Show bias on his part against the plaintiff.
Yep. We'll be dealing with COVID-19, forever. (Thanks China) The hope is that with Omicron, the variants afterward will be mild. But there's no guarantee. We'll just have to wait and see.
Except that, like the rest of our bodies, typically as one ages our immune systems wear down. A heavy hit can just set one up for the next infection, esp. if it is a different variant or another disease. I found this out with my Dad.
A sort of opposite scenario can occur when a light infection is quickly suppressed: Fewer antibodies are generated, fading to ineffectiveness in as soon as several months, and an effective force of memory cells may not be generated at all. No need to build a huge force to ward off Bulgaria, right? But then a heavy exposure may overwhelm the light defense remaining.
If Gov. Palin got moderately ill (like a flu case knocking her down for a few days) on the 1st round, she may well fit your description. In any event, I wish her the best!
