IMHO the best defense against pneumonia is daily exercise which keeps lungs strong. With lots of oxygen moving in and out of lungs, bacteria have a hard time building a condo in the lungs. Just my humble opinion. I am about to burn 82 candles, and have not even had a cold in 15+ years, and I exercise daily, just a non-strenuous fast walk on treadmill with wrist weights for 20 minutes, followed by 30 pulls of light weights on the weight machine. I began this routine at age 75 after quitting golf. Before that it was 4 to 5 rounds of golf every week.
The combined percentage of (deaths + serious bout of covid) are higher in United States. In countries like India, with 4 times bigger population crammed into landmass 1/3 size of USA, the numbers are smaller. I attribute to poor reporting and recording there. Many villages do not even have electricity. And in big cities, population outnumbers hospital beds by a wide margin, so many people just die at home and it never gets reported as covid death.

Israel, what I don’t get is they have religious cleanliness dictats, not sure of the muslim habits are all major countries over doing antibiotic soaps, and hand sanitizers that has been linked to decreasing immunity, Only place I use it is rhe kitchen becauce of food prep. I thought this was not a very useful med according to other articles. Plaquenil, I loathe the use of HCQ over the name brand as it confuses most lay people, none in the last 2 yrs a commercial ad as the Name brand, IVM seems to be more successful along with the Vit/Min regime. Then it is a vaccine, because that is the ONLY function of a vaccine. There is a huge mis-understanding among masses of people that vaccine PREVENTS infection. How? does it build some type of virus proof filter in respiratory system? I think that belief comes from the fact that majority of vaccinated do not come down with symptoms. Even though the virus was inhaled, began replicating, but was killed off by the anti-bodies before symptoms showed up.
