So many things the Democrats organized have turned out to be false flag operations (Whitmer kidnapping, January 6) that it would be safe to assume that everthing they do is a false flag operation until proven otherwise. This brings us to the strange case of the imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine. We are supposed to believe that the modern Machievelli, Vladimir Putin, has had 100,000 Russian troops camped out in the snow for months on end, poised to invade Ukraine. No complaints from the Russian troops have been heard, so these must be really hard men, capable of enduring enormous suffering, sitting patiently in the snow drifts while waiting for their leader's order to advance. And they would all be men with not one pregnancy flight suit east of the Dnieper.
This is doubly strange because relations between the Bidens and the Russians are so cordial. One Russian lady, Elena Baturina, gave Hunter Biden $3.5 million, seemingly out of the kindness of her heart, because no reciprocal service was provided by Mr. Biden.
Another strange thing about the Russian invasion threat is that it is exactly the wrong thing to do if your major threat is China. China has territorial ambitions on all its neighbours and is the greatest threat to world peace. Russia understands that Chinese territorial ambitions, for example over Vladivostok, not being actively pursued are merely in abeyance. China's long-term ambition is to subsume all Russian territory east of the Urals.
Edward Luttwak has called China an autistic power. That is being too charitable — it is more of a psychopath. It feels the need to be constantly attacking other countries. At the moment, it is building up forces on its border with India for a summer offensive.

We could stumble very easily into a shooting war with Russia that could go nuclear after they kick our asses conventionally in Europe.
A confused and raging Biden could order a nuclear launch, and forget he ordered it the next day.

Only problem with that is that we are now not self sufficient as we were under the Trump MAGA policies. The country will even be in worse shape if we try and engage the ruskies for some stupid reason.

There is very little need for Russia to invade Ukraine. And even if they do, its not a national security threat to the US.
China is not invading India (even China knows you don’t engage in a land war in Asia. Especially with folks as brutal as the Indian military.) China is not going to invade Taiwan either. There is no political or economic upside to that move.
And the US is not going to war with anyone either. After Afghanistan, I don’t think the people of the US would get behind any venture. And committing the US to anything before the mid terms would result in a shellacking the likes of which no one has ever seen. It would be the fall of the Biden administration in a vote of no confidence not seen since Nixon.
We seem to be in store for some economic woes. But we’ve been through that a dozen times. Although, social media will make it sound worse than the Great Depression.

In addition to American resistance being neutered by Biden taking office, European resistance has been mostly neutered by Olaf Scholz taking over in Germany.
Socialist Scholz was Vice President of the radical Marxist student movement of the International Union of Socialist Youth. He supported the Freudenberger Kreis, the Marxist wing of the Juso (the Youth Group of the Socialist Party) university groups. He published articles promoting “overcoming the capitalist economy” and criticizing the “aggressive-imperialist NATO”. Back then, he made trips to communist East Germany, where he was received by the highest communist leaders of the country. He is very likely a KGB asset from back then.
As soon as Scholz won the election, war preparations against the Ukraine intensified.
Now is Putin’s best chance to grab for the golden ring of reuniting the old empire, and recapturing the gas pipelines, with which to throttle the Europeans at will.
In Spring the fields will thaw and grow muddy, and tanks might be confined to roads, where they would be much more vulnerable to the shoulder fired missiles that the Ukraine is now getting. Next Winter, Republicans are likely to recapture the Congress. Politically, this is their best opportunity to get away with a conquest, like they got away with seizing Crimea under Obama.
This is a win for Putin. He’s driving up oil prices as he makes Biden squirm. When they talk, he probably reminds Biden that he paid his son 3.5 million.
We now have the most compromised president in US history. He’s not our president.
As much as I would like to see a Russia free Ukraine. I just don’t think it’s possible. Ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the scattering of the “sub-socialist republics” into independent nations and “stans” you knew someone was going to come along and cobble it back together. When the USSR fell apart it undid the work of several centuries of Czars forget soviet premiers - the CZARS!
Since Putin took power, I’ve viewed him as a new Czar. A Czar without the pomp and circumstance but a Czar, nonetheless. And no that doesn’t make him our buddy or even automatically our enemy. He just needs to be watched, countered when necessary, and cooperated with when circumstances call for it.
I think he wants to try and restore the 1914 borders. I don’t think he has a chance with Poland & Finland, the Baltic nations maybe. They need to grab Poland, Finland & Sweden and make firm alliances.
Anyway, it’s out of or sphere of influence as sad as that may be. NATO is completely obselete. With Germany self-destructing economically and soon to be dependent on Russia for energy, NATO has no rear area. (I hope this is wrong, but I read that Germany only has as many working tanks now as one WWII German armored division.) NATO is dead killed by changing world circumstances and the foolishness of its members including us. We should not tie ourselves to a corpse.
The other European nations are just a little less crazy economically then Germany. We in short have little to no leverage on the Ukraine issue. If this was actually done, it was foolish of us to encourage NATO members to talk about or actually put any SOFs or any forces into Ukraine. They do that on their own we should make it clear the mutual defense clause does not apply should Russia retaliate.
For Putin, the response from the rest of the world is irrelevant. The west is not going to send troops, or drop bombs from the sky. Sanctions are meaningless.
In my opinion he won’t because Joe Biden needs him to.
Putin is not likely to start war in the Ukraine, simply because this is pointless.
On the other hand, unless the current negotiations with the US lead nowhere, Putin must do something (or lose his credibility); it is just it does not have to be Ukraine at all, the options are many.
But if it is indeed going to be Ukraine-related, consider this option instead of invasion: Russian Parliament is considering a resolution to recognize governments of LNR and DNR. While the resolution technically was introduced by the opposition, the timing is interesting.
As for why Biden may want a war:
He needs to show that he can handle an orderly evacuation, so a war will give him a chance to improve on the Afghanistan mess. :P

There is an even more compelling reason why Putin will not invade Ukraine: the Russian public would blame him for the ensuing stream of Russian boys returning home in caskets. Accustomed to bad government, the Russian public has a high tolerance for Putin’s corruption but could well draw the line a getting their sons killed.
