The Electric Vehicle Scam
Americaoutloud ^ | Jan 15, 2022 | | Dr. Jay Lehr and Tom Harris |

In order to match the 2,000 cars that a typical filling station can service in a busy 12 hours, an EV charging station would require 600, 50-watt chargers at an estimated cost of $24 million and a supply of 30 megawatts of power from the grid. That is enough to power 20,000 homes. No one likely thinks about the fact that it can take 30 minutes to 8 hours to recharge a vehicle between empty or just topping off. What are the drivers doing during that time?

ICSC-Canada board member New Zealand-based consulting engineer Bryan Leyland describes why installing electric car charging stations in a city is impractical:

“If you’ve got cars coming into a petrol station, they would stay for an average of five minutes. If you’ve got cars coming into an electric charging station, they would be at least 30 minutes, possibly an hour, but let’s say its 30 minutes. So that’s six times the surface area to park the cars while they’re being charged. So, multiply every petrol station in a city by six. Where are you going to find the place to put them?”

The government of the United Kingdom is already starting to plan for power shortages caused by the charging of thousands of EVs. Starting in June 2022, the government will restrict the time of day you can charge your EV battery. To do this, they will employ smart meters that are programmed to automatically switch off EV charging in peak times to avoid potential blackouts.

You facts do not support your communist viewpoint. You claim a subsidy is innovation and operation funding. What a communist moron.

“You mean all these tech companies getting $110 billion from the gov’t to help fund their R&D research and development?”

It isn’t that simple, commie. You have a childish and simpleton view of money.

Setter in freepmail: “is your company in the top 100 list?? I bet it is.”

If it is then I am the expert in my company’s finances and where funding is applied, not you.

P.S. You shouldn’t try to use FReepmail to harass people. That’s a communist ploy right there, Sunshine, trying to hide your comments.

“No business owner thinks the government funds innovation and employment”

The US gov’t pays out billions in subsidies to attract companies to relocate to the US. That is funding employment.

As part of the agreement, Foxconn was set to receive subsidies ranging from $3 billion to $4.8 billion (paid in increments if Foxconn met certain targets) over fifteen years. Had it been paid out, it would have been by far the largest subsidy ever given to a foreign firm in U.S. history.

Define ‘subsidy’, commie.

The government makes purchases and you and your fellow liberals define them as subsidies.

“The US gov’t pays out billions in subsidies”

Pays? Define ‘pays’, commie. Did they get a taxbreak? That ‘subsidy’?

The word ‘pay’ means to give cash. Did they get cash, commie? No? Have you been lying about these ‘subsidies’ as ‘payouts’?

“You claim a subsidy is innovation and operation funding. What a communist moron.”

The billions US farmers get every year in subsidies is not funding their operation??

The billions in subsidies US companies receive every year from the gov’t what is it used for other than funding research, innovation and operational funding?

ev’s are not being charged at gas stations only. Most EV charging station in the US are now at home and many are being put in at restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, malls, theme parks where people do their shopping while their car is being charged.

How many people are going to spend more then a couple of hours in all of the establishments you have listed just to charge a battery??

The “Superchargers” give a 200 mile charge in 15 minutes.

The new battery by Quantamspace will be fully charged in 8-10 minutes. Not out yet but it will be in a few years.
