Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam issued an eleventh-hour pardon to state Sen. Joe Morrissey, who was convicted in 2014 for a misdemeanor count over a relationship with a 17-year-old receptionist at his law firm who later became his wife.
Morrissey, who like Northam is a Democrat, said he learned of the simple pardon Thursday after he sent a petition at the end of November.
Morrissey, now 64, left his seat in the House of Delegates eight years ago after being convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He won reelection as an independent in a special election a short time later and spent nights in jail while working during the day in the General Assembly as part of a work-release sentence.

Agreed, but what about the stepbrother who rapes his step-sister who is only slightly younger? It’s problematic when the laws try to to draw the line on a specific age or an age difference. But you know what should be charged when you see it.
They may be confusing the age of majority (when you can vote) and age of consent. In New York, the age of consent (used to be) 17. In some states it’5 15. If he had done the same thing in New York, there would not even have been a crime.
You have to draw the line somewhere, or else you will have people having sex with 10 year olds.

She was 17 and they got married and have been married for years. This is one of those situations that probably should have just been allowed to let pass without charges.
When I was 18, a friend's girlfriend's 15-year-old friend hopped in the backseat of his car, where I was sitting, and had her clothes off, unprompted, before I could "consent". Nothing further happened.
Probably would have if they hadn't blasted out the "news" on social media.

I ve been thinking, was Northam ever on Epstein Island. I suspect he was, but that’s just me. I have no proof. He certainly was nothing but a tool as Governor. What ever some wanted he gave them. He never showed at any time that he was in control or had a backbone.
Was this the same girl he sent to Georgia and bought her a house ? She was black, or was this another one ? The one that went to Georgia had a child by him I believe. I believe he had 3 children out of wedlock but supposedly supported them all.

Fortunately torturing metaphors isn’t a violation of the Geneva Convention or you’d be before the International Court of Justice at this moment. The reason why your metaphor doesn’t work, to go back to your original post, is that BLM, Antifa, deep staters, and democrat leaders don’t have to do anything like paying money to get their favored treatment. They pretty much don’t even need to ask for favored treatment. Just being a member of one of the protected groups is enough, and the benefit goes to those people whether they have wealth or not
