Supreme Court set to issue opinions This Morning on Vaccine Mandates (live thread) [update SCOTUS blocks business mandate at reply 115]

ASHINGTON (TND) — The U.S. Supreme Court is set to begin issuing opinions Thursday morning.

It’s expected that among them will be a ruling on the vaccine mandate for large employers and healthcare workers.

In a special session this past Friday to hear the case, Chief Justice John Roberts remarked that the federal government has never imposed a mandate like this on private companies.

The rest of the court's conservative majority also appeared to be leaning towards opposing it.

However, they seemed to be more understanding of the requirement for healthcare workers, saying that the government can impose conditions when there's government funding involved.

Court watchers now mostly expecting a split decision.

The opinions are expected to start coming down at 10 a.m. Thursday.

This is probably one of the most important rulings of our lifetimes. If they allow the executive branch to prevail, the other two branches are dead and separation of powers will be gone. It will be the precedent set and the Coronation of future kings to rule the country as they like by Executive Order.

I used to have the same work library, till I saw a coworker git RIFed and marched out the door one Friday. Company tried to keep all his personal reference materials (Perry’s handbook, Merck Index, US Phramacopoa) that they made him buy with personal funds but claimed were vital to the business.

He got them back, we smuggled them out one book and picture at a time. But that taught me to never bring sentimental items to work.

The only real question is how much money Pfizer has funneled to the bench.

I follow the one box rule. I have seen too many let go and one in particular that stuck with me. This guy was tossed and had to make ten trips to clean out the office. He was sitting on the corner waiting for his wife to pick him up. Looked like a homeless dude. I decided that day that if I ever got the axe, I would be able to sneak out with ONE box rather than facing the questions and looks.

You cannot be serious.
Which members of the bench you talking about here?

I suspect the delay was caused by Roberts once again trying to find a clever lie to make the unconstitutional appear constitutional, just like he did with Obamacare’s ‘tax’ mandate.

Roberts: “This is not a mandate. This is actually a tax. Since the legislature cannot get their act together, the president had to do something.”

Pfizer has been spreading money all around like a drunken sailor.

This court case is worth over a $100 billion dollars to them. They have manipulated data and such things for much less.

The only personal item I have is a “Let’s Go Brandon” piece of paper taped to me door.
And technically, it belongs to the company because I printed it out from the network printer.

Same here. I walk past people’s desks who are covered... and I do mean COVERED... with toys, pictures, and a bunch of other non-work related crap. Not only can I not figure out how they get their work done with all of that distraction, but yes, how they will manage once their job away....

That’s why I’m more interested in the opinion.

If there is one.

We need to know, especially if Deep State looks like it’s cutting bait, if this is a Pyhrric victory for our side.

I can't see how they could even consider a mandate for experimental vaccines/drugs on ANYBODY.

I don't see how Pfizer and all the rest of the jab companies would be too badly hurt by a ruling against the mandates. They're just going to keep rolling out boosters ad infinitum with the Fed's funding, and enough sheeple baring their arms for them to continue raking in exorbitant profits. The majority of Americans will line up for those 'vaccines' like people on a hot, humid summer night for ice cream.

I would be pleasantly surprised if there's ever a really effective mass movement of Americans against these shots. Maybe it's just because I live on the Left Coast here and everyone I know is perturbed that I'm not seeking the "booster" or any more jabs for that matter. In La La Land people are breathlessly awaiting for the latest mandates from our county health director who calls the shots (pun intended).

Oh but they aren’t experimental anymore (lie) and there’s 100,000 children on ventilators (lie), etc.

Imagine the feds mandating meds that cause infertility or birth defects or death in some.
