The reasonn is self-evident: when those with the power to change things don’t do so it’s because they don’t want to.

I checked DeSantis’ wiki. He’s been in politics for over 10 years, as of this year.
This makes him part of the Swamp. 10 years is my personal threshold for that declaration and if you’re going to Drain The Swamp, there are no waivers.
As for Florida’s success, they have had 3 daily Covid death surges and are on the decline of the 3rd. There is zero reason to believe a 4th is not on its way. Those other 2 had a decline, too, and maybe even declarations of policy success.
Iran has also had 3 daily death surges and are in decline from their 3rd, too.
COVID isn't even on the radar screen outside the major media centers and among simpering Branch Covidians.
Check out his biographical profile. If you read through it and didn't know whose profile it was, you'd swear the guy was a perfect example of someone who has been groomed for years to serve as a political operative in the Swamp.
I'll vote for him if he's a GOP nominee for national office, but I will never trust him.

Kim Reynolds is doing well but doesn’t get the attention that DeSantis gets—partly due to population differences between Florida and Iowa.
Here is food for thought. According to the CDC website, Covid deaths in Florida are 23 for the last 7 days. In California, 494. And in New York, 423. We should get on the Republican (DeSantis) bandwagon if we really cared about helping people.

Ive got the same thought and complaint about GOP Congressmen and women. We have a handful of firebrands who always out front taking the battle to the enemy and the message to the people. I wrote my own rep and asked “Why are you laying low and being invisible? Why aren’t you shaking things up and fighting for liberty and freedom?” No response. He sends out a monthly newsletter that is useless.
90% of the GOP in Congress are useless.

FL ranks #16 in deaths per million in the U.S. When considering they are a retirement state (old people) they should be at #1 like AZ (#2) which is also a retirement state and run by a big RINO.
The citizens of FL should thank Almighty God they have a governor like DeSantis.

The very next day, fedgov said they were going to stop distributing that one and another one because Sotrovimab is supposed to be the only one that works for Omicron. They changed their minds a couple of days later. I wasn’t worried about the one she got maybe not working on Omicron because I wasn’t worried about Omicron since it seems mild. We had no idea which covid we had so I got her the appointment in case it was Delta. She has COPD. Judging by our symptoms, I think it was Omicron.
I would describe it as a something in between a bad cold and mild flu. We’re both doing fine. I did the full FLCCC protocol and she did just the vitamins from it. I did the horse paste thing.

I also drank Emergen-C which has full B complex and 1000mg of Vitamin C. She didn’t like the taste.
I suppose we could have had Delta and it was made mild by the regimen. Never lost sense of smell/taste but things did taste funky for a couple of days and there was a couple of days where I kept smelling something like a tin odor.

The Democrats will try to create another "macaca" moment for DeSantis, just like they did to former Virginia governor George Allen, who was identified as the GOP front-runner candidate for the 2008 presidential election.
I'd even argue that successfully taking out Allen was the flash point for turning Virginia blue.
