And how are those covid folks with no sense of smell going to sniff test?
The more I hear of this kind of stupidity, the more I think I should just take over and be king.
I would be a good one (I promise), though not for socialists.
I thought Limeys only drink beer and tea...
Plus a little rum ... to go with their buggery.
If they are a retailer, then one would think that they would encourage the waste so their customers would use more product. I’m starting to sound like an economist.
“and will encourage customers to use a sniff test to check quality.”

Ummm, the milk is sealed. So you encourage people to physically open the milk bottle or carton and get their noses close to the milk, which adds to contamination? Brilliant limeys s/
You forgot they drink lime juice. Scurvy is a nasty &$@+%.
I have the best sense of smell in the house, so I am the resident milk sniffer. It’s annoying.
Both warm. Hard to get a good sweet ice tea or a cold beer there as I recall.
If you start swallowing chucks, it is time to stop.
SMART - now milk won’t be spoiled before you buy it anymore!
“Use by” dates on milk are the only ones that are actually accurate. Learned the hard way to just dump it after that date, no bother “checking”.
Had to check to see if this was The Bee.
As for beer, these days most all pubs have a chilled keg beer or two. Usually Carling Extra Cold and Stella. I have developed a taste for the cask ales kept in the cool basement.
I wouldn't think of asking for sweet iced tea unless I wanted to be considered balmy.
The best way to check bad milk is to put some of it in coffee in the morning. If it’s bad it will curdled up in small globs. Then you throw it out. No need to smell it.

All hail King Fruser! I am your most loyal subject!
When wife had COVID and lost her sniffer, I became the official milk sniffer. Don’t know what Morrisons uses, but I’ve found that the dates on milk are pretty good - when it hits the date it’s going bad.
On the other hand, dates on most foods are very conservative - stuff is still just fine weeks after the expiration. Depends a lot on how it’s kept.
Agree
After a certain amount of time, the cartons are moved to the cottage cheese section.
I wouldn’t buy it.
.... Question: How are stores supposed to control and rotate their stock on the shelves if they don’t know the expiration date??? Why not use some kind of new coded system for the Merchandiser
