Commercials take up 27% of commercial television screen time and are the main source of income for TV and radio stations. In most cases, advertisements on all channels appear simultaneously, so don't try to change the channel, there will be commercials elsewhere, too. Nowadays they have also taken over the Internet. For a financial support, websites have to run ads on their pages, the largest share supplied and controlled by Google. Ads pry into your eyes, unceremoniously interfere with text, and on YouTube, in the most inappropriate places they cut into the action of films, lectures and concerts, tearing apart musical performances. There's no escaping commercials, we've grown accustomed to them, and they become almost as much a part of our lives as food, toilets, and sleep.
In the United States today, the White population (not including Hispanics) is 57.8%. In real life Caucasians are still in the majority, but now on TV and the Internet they are swept under the rug like trash. Blacks compose 14% of the U.S. population but appear in 50% of commercials. White actors now appear for promotion of health insurance, gold, loans and some medicines. Moreover, if a White person appears in a commercial, he/she is usually old, sick, a freak, or at the very least, an appendage to a Black partner. If there's a doctor on the screen, he's usually Black, while the patient is usually White. Caucasian young men appear in only 4% of the commercials! If some aliens began to study the population of Planet Earth through our TV commercials they would have a somewhat distorted picture of Americans, to put it mildly.
So why do advertisers ignore the long-standing rules of marketing, and to the detriment of their own financial interests,

Commercials like Liberty Mutual’s are stupid but innocuous. The ones everyone is complaining about in this thread are a form of bullying. That’s what has people’s hackle up.

I am 70, and I’ve owned a lot of vehicles in my life. Only three were new, off the lot; and not a ONE of them would even remotely be considered luxurious.

I know history quite well, and I’m plenty old. And nobody is being removed from any positive societal portrayal. The funniest part is it’s this exact same kind of complaining from minority groups that are why this is happening. People want to see themselves on TV. I don’t know why. I get nothing from seeing white guys on TV, regardless of how they’re portrayed. But there’s a subsection in every demographic that really really wants to see themselves. So they try to include everybody. Problem is that just changes who whines. The real solution is for people to stop needing to see themselves on TV to feel validated.
Way to move the goal posts. As for what’s gone on there, well that’s called revenge. White people spent a lot of time doing crappy things for non-whites in those places, and the worm done turned.

I’m pretty much the same way. And for watching movies on TV, I have some cable channels that show old or pre-woke movies. Unfortunately, some of them have commercials.
Pretty sure everyone notices this lopsided PC stuff as well as the constant ads with homosexuals. I tune out totally it seems because I can hardly ever remember what the ad is for.

Other critical theory "flavors" include critical gender theory, Latino critical race theory (LatCRT) .....and now it would appear even "critical vax theory" in which the vaccinated are set against the unvaccinated with a view to eventually establishing a social credit system such as that established by the Chinese Communist Party. But we should not be surprised. This is what Communists do!!!
The "class struggle" used to be confined to economics, but when the world revolution turned out not to be as "inevitable" as the communists anticipated, they adopted the strategy of Antonio Gramsci and morphed the "class struggle" from a purely economic class struggle to a cultural class struggle known as "cultural Marxism" embodied in modern times in places such as the Frankfurt School which left Nazi Germany and set up shop at one of Obama's other alma maters - New York's Columbia University here in the United States.
Cultural Marxism operates chiefly by infiltrating the legitimate cultural institutions of society - both secular and religious - and corrupting them from within.
Again, "critical theory" is simply another name for "the class struggle" and the class struggle is simply about setting one class of people against the other(vis a vis the creation of a so-called "oppresser" vs. a so-called "oppressed")with a view to provoking or contributing to the "world revolution."
