A year after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp tells Axios he stands by his condemnation of the attack as a "disgrace," as well as his certification of Joe Biden as the election winner.
But Kemp said he's continued to "thank" former President Donald Trump for “all the things that he did to help Georgia. I have never said a bad word about him.”

One of the reasons this country is in a mess is because we lost the Senate and Kemp is one person who is directly to blame. His appointment of a tootsie to the Senate as a part of a corrupt deal cost us that seat. She couldn't even bet Warnoc and then there was that false statement right before the runoff that he made that helped defeat Perdue and made Trump look bad. I say screw him. Let him rot in hell of political purgatory.

But I do have some sympathy towards him, considering that he was sent a VERY STRONG MESSAGE by the Democrats just as he was starting to question the legitimacy of the vote in Georgia.
