The problem they have is they want to drag this committee out until the 2024 elections, but they can't because they're going to lose the House. When that happens, the GOP won't reauthorize the Committee.

That means they have to get whatever political mileage they can out of it before the upcoming midterms. But all that is going to accomplish is to convince voters that Democrats are stuck in the past, and don't care about the problems currently confronting the country.

The harder they push it, the more it backfires.
