While the jury was busy hearing Ghislaine Maxwell’s case in her recently concluded trial, there was some other action related to her perverted boss taking place quietly in the background. Insider is reporting that the charges against Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, the guards charged with sleeping on the job while Epstein supposedly killed himself, were dropped. The timing of this decision was certainly curious, as was the fact that the decision to drop the charges wasn’t made public for more than two weeks. A public status conference for the case against the guards had been scheduled for December 15th, but it was canceled with no reason given and no new date scheduled. So how did this happen?
In the middle of Ghislaine Maxwell’s child-sex-trafficking trial, federal prosecutors quietly dropped their case against two jail guards accused of sleeping on the job and falsifying jail records as Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in his cell.Federal prosecutors in Manhattan signed a nolle prosequi, a document announcing to the judge that they wished to drop the case, on December 13. The document didn’t appear on the court’s public docket until Thursday, one day after Maxwell was convicted on charges that she trafficked girls to Epstein for sex and participated in sexual abuse herself.
Prosecutors first filed charges against the guards, Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, in November 2019.
The way that the prosecutors handled this matter certainly looks suspicious at first glance, but some previously unreported details could explain this decision in a more routine fashion. Noel and Thomas pleaded not guilty to the charges in 2019. But in May of this year, they signed a deferred prosecution agreement, allowing them to avoid jail time if they cooperated with an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of Epstein’s death by the Justice Department’s OIG.
Since that time they have reportedly been cooperating fully with the Department of Justice. Once that process was finished earlier this month, the prosecutors signed a nolle prosequi, informing the judge that they wished to drop the charges against both men. As part of that agreement, both Noel and Thomas reportedly performed some unspecified community service.
What’s really curious about how this was handled is the fact that the request to drop the charges was granted on December 13th, but it didn’t appear on the court’s docket until yesterday, one day after Maxwell was found guilty. A plea agreement such as the one the two former guards worked out really isn’t all that unusual, so why wouldn’t it have been published in a timely fashion? It’s possible that letting the two of them off the hook would have looked even more suspect if the jury had decided in Maxwell’s favor and allowed her to go free. But with the former madame safely on her way toward sentencing, the perception that justice had been done likely made it look “safer” for the release of this information.
So were Noel and Thomas truly guilty? All they were charged with were crimes involving dereliction of duty and falsifying records. If you believe that Jeffrey Epstein really did hang himself, then those charges likely wouldn’t have amounted to more than costing them their jobs and possibly a fine. But with the entire sordid Epstein affair having such a toxic environment surrounding it, the men’s involvement drew a lot more attention. If someone else took Epstein’s life, at least one guard would have had to have known about it even if they weren’t directly involved. But it sounds like we may never know.
Under the new IRS rules they may have to declare those bribes as income.
“Okay. Here’s the deal. We’ll show up, we’ll bring a saw. I’ll get that safe open and put all the good stuff right on top. We won’t take any of it. We’ll just say that there’s something wrong with our search warrant or something, okay? You show up and remove it, nice and quiet. Got that? I can give you 24 hours. 48, tops. Then I’m coming back, and if the stuff is still there, I’ll have to take it. And nobody wants that to happen, do they? So make sure you get there fast.”
I’m leaning the other way...Black AND White.
Yeah and now that justice has been served there no point in any other prosecutions, so case closed and nothing to see here.
“ now the two guards can move to either FL or Hi and enjoy living on their curiously bulging bank accounts”
Oh Hell, they’re living in Antigua or Tobago now. Plenty of ganja.
see my post #19 for further hilarity.
Why do you think the charges were dropped?
The job wasn’t done.
The final bit will be paying these guys off handsomely, albeit indirectly. The remaining uncertainties:
1) Is Epstein dead? The circumstances surrounding his alleged death, his removal from jail, his questionable autopsy, etc.
2) His blackmail assets were too big to be disclosed, and much too big to be destroyed. They are national security-class, which means every trace and speck needs to be gathered up, analyzed and archived.
3) His organization, his machine, and everyone that *didn’t* make it out alive must be scrutinized. There was believed to be a cemetery on his island. Many of his “victims” had histories even before they were recruited, and if someone is still looking for them that has to end.
Some were likely involved in CP pictures and films production, and it must be determined if their “co-stars” remained with them during their Epstein time. They may also have already been used in blackmail schemes.
High profile criminal on a one-to-one with two sleeping( alleged) guards while Epstein is murdered and they get off? If the fix isn’t in then this is baffling at best.
Let’s see. We have two dump trucks, admitting to sleeping on duty, and falsifying documents, while the highest profile inmate in the entire world is murdered, and they walk? Who the heck are these people kidding? There is no way, on God’s green earth, that these two lames did NOT get paid off. They are, however, in grave danger of committing arkancide, and eventually, I think they will both disappear, without a trace, and no one will even bother to look for them. Disgusting.
Epstein’s guards did the bidding of some veeeeeeery influential politicians.
Gislane never thought that she would be indicted, much less found guilty in a US Court. She infinitely regrets that she came to the US and got caught. Something tells me that she did all that to get even with someone or more people. She is ready to play her last card.
What I wonder about these guards is if they were paid a huge sum of money or if their lives or their family lives were threatened. It is one or the other
Still need to close the loop completely. Tragic accidents in the not so distant future anticipated.
3. Epstein isn't dead and is being kept in protective custody away from the "deep state".
mission accomplished, story was a hoax as was everything revolving around his demise. Does anyone think Epstein was stupid? He held all the cards on everyone in high circles and the FBI and CIA knew it and entertained it
Epstein supposedly killed himself
Bet the feds are still looking for names and dates book power play to ensue as soon as the first name is disclosed.
