Exactly. And we've been using the test as a proxy for determining who is actually contagious. That's what we really need to know (assuming the goal is to stop it from spreading).
Fauci & CDC should be jailed.
Full of s##t an agency typical systemic stupidity. People believe what these people say.
Absolutely right. So they need to admit this truth as well.
I found out two days ago that my vote in the recall election this past September was tossed because my signature on the envelope supposedly didn’t match the one on my voter registration. Assuming the one they had was from 1987 when I moved to my current home then yeah, it’s probably changed.
I wonder how many votes to keep Newsom got such close scrutiny?
I don’t read your interpretation in that at all, frankly. On the one hand, Fauci says the famous ‘what we thought people would tolerate....’ (wrt to PCR tests and cutting quarantine times) and on the other it’s the CDC now just saying that it wasn’t that but the lingering potential for a false positive? Which is it? Fauci and whatshername not reading the same page? THEY’RE in charge and we get this?
And I don’t think any of this really gets down to the brass tack that the tests DON’T identify Delta, Omicron or any of the like, yet we see MSM and government attributing recent rises in their ‘cases’ reports to exactly that.
No worries, still breathing fine.
You know why? It's because I didn't fall for the Summit News' lying headline.
Walensky said nothing about false positives.
"Noting that PCR tests for COVID can stay positive for up to 12 weeks after infection, Walensky stated “we would have people in isolation for a very long time if we were relying on PCRs.”"
Do you understand what she's saying? She's saying that once you get infected, in rare cases you may continue to test positive for up to 12 weeks.
Does that mean you never had Covid? Of course not. You had Covid, that's why you tested positive.
Does that make the positive test false? Of course not. No one that didn't have Covid tested positive.
Did this inflate the reported Covid cases?
Again, of course not because these positive results are the result of a Covid infection.
Having said all that, even if what the lying author said was true it says absolutely nothing about misidentifying the influenza virus as SARS CoV-2, which is what we were talking about.
We signed on a computer screen last year. No way could they even check for matches.
Holy Cow, I, and many others have been thinking this for some time. I never expected to have it confirmed.
I went to my doctor for a regularly scheduled appointment early on in the pandemic way before the clot shot and mega testing.
The receptionist asked me questions if I were feeling ill and had any symptoms.
After telling her I felt well, she pointed one of those thermometers at my forehead and said my temperature was normal.
That is the ONLY Covid test that I have had.
Personally, I thought it was a pretty good test.
Follow the business. Sounds about right.
Take a breath buddy, it’s all falling down and there’s nothing you can do. Just go with it.
It’s not that big a deal... I been wrong before too.
Free beer tomorrow!
Can't wait.
The Control Matriarchy is a protect group - maybe at the very top level
“We’re going to push just as far as we can.”
I am not saying that I believe what the CDC says is true, or the whole story. I was just trying to clarify exactly what they were currently admitting to.
We know there is a lot more they need to admit falsifying.
The CDC is saying that they won’t be using the PCR test for as long a period as they previously did, to asses when a person is no longer contagious after they have the Covid.
Unfortunately they have not yet fessed up to the lies that the PCR test is an accurate assessment of Covid in the first place.
Understand. I don’t think they want to tell the truth because it will show exactly how politically calculating and conniving they are. This started down a path of expedited assistance and funding to develop a vaccine under Trump and then morphed into a vastly bungled rollout and disastrous shortening of the intentionally-long FDA approval process meant to keep things from happening that ARE happening today the world over.
Only it isn’t with a select, controlled group of test subjects; it’s being done on the entire population of those they can coerce into getting the shot via termination of jobs, denial of federal funding, intimidation by mobilized SJWs and SJM (social justice media), and a plethora of decentralized arbitrary mandates even whose ‘masters’ aren’t obeying (per multiple reports).
Well conversely if there were less cases, then total percentage that died is greater ?? meaning it’s more deadly and not less ?? But also that must be less transmissible?
The PCR test is no longer going to be used.
If it were accurate, why would it be pulled in the middle of a “dangerous pandemic”?
If it were accurate, why would it be pulled in the middle of a “dangerous pandemic”?
Don't worry, PCR tests are alive and well. I think someone may have given you bad information.
Here's a list of 268 PCR tests currently authorized by the CDC.
There was one of the original ones from the CDC that they recommended people stop using.
Was it withdrawn because the test didn't work or was inaccurate? No.
It was withdrawn because there are now plenty of newer tests that can identify SARS CoV-2 and influenza virus in the same pass so it's more efficient.
PCR testing remains the gold standard and is being used more than ever.
