Back in October, Rolling Stone magazine declared that "Joe Manchin Just Cooked the Planet." The description of the earthly inferno that would be our inevitable fate due to Manchin was quite gruesome:

These global warming alarmists simply do not understand, or choose not to understand, that even based on their own study and forecast, there is no bill passed by the United States Congress that would end global warming.

We can theoretically take drastic action here in America to reduce the emissions, but other countries would simply cancel out everything we might theoretically do.

So it is quite absurd to say the planet is cooked because the global warming piece of the Build Back Better Act not going to be enacted into law.
