After spending more than 12 years as director of the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Francis Collins is retiring this weekend. But he's no less worried about the public health agency's latest pandemic curveball.
As the omicron variant threatens record-breaking rates of infections in the U.S., Collins departs with a warning. If Americans don't take COVID-19 seriously, the country could see 1 million daily infections, he said.
"We cannot afford to let down our guard," Collins told NPR's Scott Detrow in an interview with Weekend Edition.
"I know people are tired of this," he said, acknowledging Americans' fatigue of having weathered almost three pandemic-stunted years. "I'm tired of it too, believe me. But the virus is not tired of us. It's having a great old time changing its shape every couple of months, coming up with new variants and figuring out ways to be even more contagious."

So millions of people will catch a cold. Just like every year. The money trail for the BS we have heard for the past 21 months, especially in the past year, will tell a tale of corruption the likes of which we have never seen.
Emphasizing that I'm not medically trained, I understand that healthy people first need to get infected with a virus in order to trigger asymptomatic natural immunity, correction welcome.
So the title of the referenced article is misleading in that context in my non-medical opinion. Did so-called virus pandemic also reveal pandemic of unhealthy, D3-deficient people?
Noting that you can find vitamin D deficient people in both Florida and Texas, if you live above latitude 37°N in wintery months from October, the southern border of Kansas for example, medical experts are pointing out that your skin won't produce enough vitamin D3 whatever you do outside. So you might want consider dietary vitamin D3 dietary supplements. If you have blood pressure issues ask your trusted medical doctor about vitamin K2 to balance the D3.
Regarding sunlight D3 in general, the rule of thumb from the Vitamin D - The Sunshine Vitamin link above is that if your shadow is longer than you are tall (my words), then you're not producing enough D3.
On the other hand, overexposure to sunlight is a cancer concern. Again, consult with trusted doctor about D3 supplement.
I still question if medical history might have turned out better if vitamin D3 had been discovered before vaccines were.

I think it would be admirable if Collins, instead of slinking off into the sunset and leaving millions us shlubs to be killed off by the sinister, toxic, lethal jabs; if he’d spill the beans on the creeps in the pictures and the globalist cabal that are not pictured but that want millions of us six feet under. That’s what the jabs are designed to accomplish, and Collins surelt has realized it by this late date.
A million “intections” aka false positives of Omicron would be wonderful.
