Sen. Elizabeth Warren just made the mistake of going after Tesla CEO and eccentric billionaire Elon Musk. He promptly destroyed her in response.
The conflict began when the progressive politician and “tax the rich” crusader tweeted out a Boston Globe news article about Musk being named Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2021.
“Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else,” the senator wrote. (Warren is likely referencing illegally leaked IRS files that show Musk paid no federal income taxes in 2018 through legal tax minimization strategies and the fact that almost all of his wealth does not derive from traditional income — he pays a lot in other taxes.)
The irony of a career politician, who subsists off the taxpayer dime, decrying a wildly successful entrepreneur who has created countless jobs and innovations as a “freeloader” was simply too much for Musk to resist. With intoxicating levels of chaos energy and internet meme-lordery key parts of his persona, Musk is not one to take a slight lying down.

Is the author in high school.
I don’t know a lot about Elon Musk. But the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
HOORAY Elon!
2 grandstanders. Destroyed? Gimme a break. Both will continue with what they’re doing. No knockdowns here, just eyebrow raising attempts by 2 public figures. They didn’t get rich being introverts.
There’s a lot to like about him.
“If you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year,” he replied. “Don’t spend it all at once … oh wait you did already.”
“You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everybody for no reason,” Musk continued. “Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.”
Oh man, he took her down good. I am still chuckling. She needs to go get herself a beer and be quiet.
Her husband drinks herbal tea and sits down to pee.
Great example of what’s wrong with internet political analysis.
Elizabeth Warren is still one of only 100 U.S. Senators, in her seat for life if she wishes.
This is not “destroyed”, not of language means anything.
Squealin’ Elon is having a fire sale! Everything must go.
I take some exception to these glaring banners that claim someone “destroyed” something as entrenched as Pocahontas Warren with a comment. I checked: She’s still here.
It’s good that he’s criticizing her but he changes his mind a lot. At the end of the day (don’t you hate that phrase?) he’s still a liberal +watwad. An insanely rich, privileged, powerful liberal +watwad. I mean, I like old Squealin’. He’s a character. A liberal character who gives money and support to the globalists.
Elon punching back verbally like Donald Trump.
You and I said the same thing at almost the same time. Does this mean you owe me a coke? Or do I owe you?
I've gotten so sick of idiots who think every dumbass thing and every lie and evasion from Jen Psaki is a devastating "Psaki bomb," so I could really do without headlines like this, though.
The internet shouldn't be a videogame.
Clearly not.
Are you?
Senator Karen is “rich”?
Since when?
What's impressive about that?
Over what?
At the end of the day (don't you hate that phrase?) he's still a liberal +watwad.
On what exactly?
An insanely rich, privileged, powerful liberal +watwad. I mean, I like old Squealin’. He's a character. A liberal character who gives money and support to the globalists.
Which globalists?
She’s rich by middle class standards, but not by Elon Musk standards.
I agree, it is usually something funny or a good zinger.
But destroyed = hyperbole.
