The NFL is facing its biggest COVID-19 outbreak of the season as more than 75 players have tested positive this week, including Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and his former teammate, Los Angeles Rams receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Although nearly all NFL players are vaccinated, seven teams have been forced into enhanced protocols that were established earlier this season.
NFL testing data shared via the daily transaction log showed a single-day record 37 positive tests on Monday and the two-day total hit 75 on Tuesday. By comparison, the league said 110 positive tests were recorded from September 5 through November 27.
With many teams facing labor shortages on the field, the NFL is considering altering league health and safety protocol to allow vaccinated, asymptomatic players to return sooner, according to the Washington Post. Currently, infected players are required to be away from the team for 10 days or pass two COVID-19 screenings taken 24 hours apart.

One needs income but I’ve long felt sorry for anyone who thinks human happiness consists in a whirlwind of hyperactivity - bars, restaurants, games, shopping, travel, cruises, hiking, etc. Seems shallow. The shallowness can also show itself in a callous attitude towards human life, those killed by a vaccine are “nothingburgers”.

That is safer than any medical procedure in any hospital.
