I agree.

AR’s are cheap and available. There is nothing good about keeping this one.

Make sure it is destroyed. Document it, and move on.

Intent to sell a dangerous weapon to a person under 18.

"He should have signed it, cut two notches into it, and sold it...."

He's a kid that killed two people, even though they were dirt-bags, it's got to eat at him.

I don't know how I would react if I had to kill someone, but I doubt I would be cheerful about it - even if it was self-defense. Just damn.

It should be treated as a trophy.

I’m surprised the leftards actually took this guy to trial, since according to them, it is the guns fault and therefore the gun needs to be banned.

Why are we banning guns if it is actually the person using the gun that is acting unlawfully?

If they want to ban the gun why would the individual using the gun illegally being arrested, tried, etc.

He’s already been gifted at least one replacement.

Although it makes to little sense to me to discard a self-defense weapon that has proved its efficacy, I think he’s at least shrewd enough to understand his life will be in danger for some time to come, and it is not in his best interest to be completely disarmed.

It is obvious from trial footage that the battle took a toll on him. I hope he is getting counseling to remind him that it was not his fault and that he should embrace the skill and courage with which he fought.
His rifle could be a symbol of the will to resist the evil that is overtaking this country.

It was a straw man purchase. He paid the other guy to buy it. It was kept at his home and secured. The other guy plead guilty to that.

My concern with him selling it is that it would be a grotesque auction. Yeah, he could donate the proceeds, but it simply feels dirty. This kid doesn’t want any more attention and he’s been pretty good about staying away from the spotlight.

As originally stated, his gun—his choice. I think it’s the right choice. But we don’t get a vote. Ha ha.

I thought it was his, bought by the other guy. Didn’t he plead to a straw man purchase charge?

He should keep or sell it. Destroying it would make him seem guilty and ashamed of defending himself.

He should keep it hidden and give it a good coat of oil every few months, and then pass it down to his heirs.

Somebody 50 years from now may pay big, big money for that gun. Like maybe enough to set somebody up for a couple lifetimes.

Or not. Who knows anymore?

Dominick Black pleaded not guilty, and the case is still open.

There are plenty of AR’s out there if he ever wants one again.

There are plenty of ways Kyle’s many enemies could use that gun, or his future use of that gun, or sale of that gun in what will be their continued efforts to ruin his life to promote whatever insane agenda they have at the moment.

He’s better off with just about any other firearm than that particular one. Not saying it’s right, but that’s the world we live in.

IIRC, the buyer intended to GIFT Kyle with the gun when he turned 18.
