Donald Trump raised several eyebrows with a double negative in a recent statement—which read as him taking aim at those supporting his ongoing election fraud claims.
The statement from the former president, shared via email on Saturday, read: "Anybody that doesn't think there wasn't massive election fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election is either very stupid or very corrupt."
Trump's comments were met with sarcastic tweets from several of his detractors, who were keen to point out the double negative read as him taking aim at those who supported his repeated fraud claims.
NEW!

Like anyone cares what Newsweak writes.
The mind is very good at autocorrecting and filling in.
The media trying to play got ha just spreads Trump’s message far and wide. The got boob baited.
So sorry they don’t have the intellectual capacity to comprehend a double negative.
Intentional double negative-— gets him MASSIVE internet exposure on the FACT of the election steal, and the progression of the investigations that really is worrying the idiot dems. In the context of yet another continuation of the Coup— the demonrats did stuff ballot boxes in the 6 states contended, PLUS they did electronic vote theft, the proof of which is in President Trump’s possession thanks to Cyber Command. Lloyd Austin and the Jan 6th “commission” which is losing all validity daily— have NO ability to acquire the millions of terrabytes of digital proof. Delicious.
Who doesn’t think that Newsweak is not screwed up?
Anyone that thing Biden can draw 81 million votes is stupid and delusional.
Mike Lindell’s study showed that there was an across the board4.6% steal, and that the true electoral vote was 326. He got the 2016 states plus NV,MN,and NH
The author of this Newsweak article must have had a deadline to meet, and needed something, ANYTHING to meet it. Like a kid sticking out his tongue after a couple of “NEENER, NEENER’S”.
But he POUNCES when Trump says something...
Well, the meaning is still clear to me, even if the grammar is bad, and double negatives are pretty widely used and understood. Sometimes they have a better ring anyway...try to imagine Mick Jagger singing “I can’t get any satisfaction.”
He needs a new proofreader.
Trump's comments were met with sarcastic tweets from several of his detractors, ...
All of Trump's comments are met with sarcastic tweets by an army of Hillary's Russian bots who are utterly incapable of doing anything else. Jack Dorsey took away almost every reason they had for living (if you can call zombies alive) when he deleted President Trump's twitter account.
Has Lindell paid the $5 million to that guy who showed his cyber conference to be bogus yet?
Yes, attack him over his grammar and meanwhile Russia is on the brink of invading the Ukraine, China is going to invade Taiwan, and the Islamo-Nazis in Iran are about to get a nuke. But let’s not criticize that. It’s grammar that’s the threat!!
Some of Trump's trolling is quite obvious but I long ago began to suspect that nearly all of Trump's "mistakes" are intended to be boob bait.
He has the left addicted to his every word! :)
Just like two wrongs don’t make a right or telling a lie twice doesn’t make it true, both don’t work, the two negatives that Trump uses accentuate and reinforce the wrong done and the atrocity of the heist. No double negative context to cancel each other out. Perfect conversation that everyone understands except those that don’t want to.
Whatever, that’s just how a guy from Queens talks. That’s just some Yogi Berra going on.
Nobody did.
The most common autocorrect that happens when I use voice activation for posts changes the positive/negative quality of a statement. Many times it is more complicated that just changing is to isn’t. Using voice activation typing needs very careful proof reading.
