This is the first I heard that the parents bought the gun for the kid.
Yeah, that could be a problem for them if true.
It’s not.
Are they charging the DA for involuntary manslaughter for letting Darryl Brooke out with a 1000 bond?
Are they charging Timothy George Simpkins’ parents for involuntary manslaughter? Heck - they didn’t even keep Simpkins in prison for inarguably the SAME THING.
Yes. Right call. Evidence and statements. School knew too. In advance.
I believe the dad bought the gun for himself, not for his son Ethan.
But Ethan was able to easily gain access to that gun anyway.
Ethan went online, posting pics of himself posing with it, even firing the gun. Bragging about owning it, pretending it was his.
I dunno - maybe itâs a bad thing to let your psycho kid have access to weapons.
His parents and school knew his intent.
Perhaps the story has changed as of now, but I first heard the gun was for the Dad, not the murdering Son.
Yep. Using this logic the mother of the Waukesha killer should be charged as well for leaving her phucking keys on the counter. It was her truck that killed, maimed and injured all those folks dontchaknow.
Crumbley even had it in his bag when he and his parents were hauled in to talk to school officials on Tuesday over their sonâs unspecified âdisturbingâ behavior â just hours before the killing spree
If the school or the parents had looked in his backpack before, during, or after the meeting, they would've found the gun and his plans.
Instead, he was allowed to stay in his classes that day.
Itâs not about the gun. He drew a picture of his intent and wrote help me. Teacher saw it on his desk. She photographed the picture. He texted his mom he was going to kill students. She responded LOL. Donât get caught.
Ok. Well this is an individual case based on facts in This case.
Bingo. So much negligence here, by everyone.
Everyone who looks at it knows that.
These events are mostly driven by Media coverage.
Everyone who looks at it knows that.
These events are given lots of Media coverage, because the Media use them to push gun control, and because the Media profits off of them a great deal.
The vast majority of teens who have guns in their home use them properly and correctly.
They will need to show the parents, knowing what they knew before the event happened, acted irresponsibly.
The charges appear to be related to the Mass firearms law (title XX, section 131L):
(a) It shall be unlawful to store or keep any firearm, rifle or shotgun including, but not limited to, large capacity weapons, or machine gun in any place unless such weapon is secured in a locked container or equipped with a tamper-resistant mechanical lock or other safety device, properly engaged so as to render such weapon inoperable by any person other than the owner or other lawfully authorized user.
and
(e) A violation of the provisions of this section shall be evidence of wanton or reckless conduct in any criminal or civil proceeding if a person under the age of 18 who was not a trespasser or was a foreseeable trespasser acquired access to a weapon, unless such person possessed a valid firearm identification card issued under section 129B and was permitted by law to possess such weapon, and such access results in the personal injury to or the death of any person.
The Prosecutor just did in her presser. His mom texted her son, âDonât do it. â
I donât care. Iâm sick of these people making gun supporters look bad. Heck she even wrote a letter to President trump thanking him for supporting the second amendment. We donât need this type of help. Itâs not helping at all.
⢠Teacher caught Ethan Crumbley searching gun ammunition in school and contacted his parents
⢠Crumbley's mother later sent him a text with âlolâ and told him not to get caught next time
⢠A few days later a different teacher catches him drawing pictures of a gun and bullet with âmy life is shitâ and âkill classmatesâ written on it
⢠School contacts parents and has them come to the school and hold a meeting with them and their son
⢠The parented downplayed it and wanted him to go back to class
⢠Later on that same day, the dad sent his son a text saying âplease donât do itâ after discovering the gun wasn't at their home
