LOS ANGELES, California — The City of Los Angeles began enforcing its vaccine mandate on indoor businesses Monday, including gyms, restaurants, and other facilities, with inspectors able to impose thousands of dollars in fines over time.
Fox 11 KTTV reported:
Los Angeles Monday began enforcing its law requiring Angelenos patronizing indoor restaurants, gyms, entertainment and recreational facilities, personal care establishments and some city buildings to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.

This is going to be awesome, watching all these businesses slowly commit suicide by “just following orders” is going to be remembered for eternity.
If these businesses would come to an agreement amongst themselves to REFUSE SERVICE to all Government Employee’s and put NO TRESPASSING signs with a Warning that ANY PUBLIC EMPLOYEE that enters this establishment will be Charged with CRIMINAL TRESPASSING, you are NOT Welcome here.
this would end fast
The forthcoming wave of arsons should be entertaining, including of city/county leaders (hint).
LA County has a mask mandate and has had a vax mandates since 11/4. Neighboring Orange County is wide open with with no mandates and has less new COVID19 case per capita.
Driving past UNR last night noticed on their electronic student union board. A notice flashed up while we waited for the stop light: “DON’T RELAX UNTIL YOU PROVE YOU’VE BEEN VAXXED!” WTAF? And a link showing anyone needing it to the ‘unr.edu/vaxproof’ site. Some such BS. So, be TERRIFIED of being found out you haven’t been vaxxed? Is that the implication? And yes, the University of Nevada does have that requirement in place. And the sheeple went “Baaaaaaaaaa!”
Evil is the mark of the anti christ.
And LA Sheriff’s Department has said repeatedly they WILL NOT send a patrol car around for “vaccine checks”, etc.
Frankly, with LA being the touristy place it is (Like Orlando, or Vegas), they can’t really afford to run the tourists off, can they? It’s not like those living there in Sec 8 housing can afford to keep going out to Spago’s, or whatever the hot/trendy/expensive restaurants are these days.
Once again, segments of the country are lining up to put the shackles on and practice their bleating.
This pandemic is not about covid. It wouldn’t even be a problem if there weren’t so many other health problems that covid made you notice! Listen to me! I was just there! What they call “comorbidities” are diseases. THEY can kill you and almost did me. THEY are the problem!
Two weeks ago, a bunch of my Facebook friends were going to meet at the Tam o'Shanter, a famous restaurant in the Los Feliz neighborhood in LA. However, someone checked into their WuFlu policy and noted that they require either a vaccine card or a cell phone photo of both sides of the card. In addition, you must wear a mask unless you're eating or drinking.
So they lost a bunch of customers--perhaps the Section 8 crowd will make up for their loss. We switched our meeting place to Shenanigan's Irish Pub & Grill in Long Beach, and were glad that we did--no mask or vaxx requirement and excellent food. I recommend it for patriots living west of the Orange Curtain (Orange County line).
What happened to the 2200 ton boats? A series of "unfortunate" accidents resulted in sinking and insurance payoffs. The 1200 and 400 ton boats left San Diego for New Zealand where regulations were less strict.
I left the marine electronics maintenance world in May 1980 for an indoor engineering job at PacBell. My former company was purchased by one of the shipyards and became a wholly owned maintenance shop for the yard. It was purchased mostly for all of the dealership licenses for important marine electronics.
Returning to the thread topic, I suspect many businesses will succumb to loss of business caused by the vaxx only customer regulations. Dead and disabled people spend less. As you alluded, a failing business model sometimes falls victim to "unfortunate" events.
I was out there in Orange County, San Diego County, and LA in September. Fortunately I never had a single person ask me about status, or mask. I even went to the Chargers game (they lost against the Cowboys) - and not a single security or LASD deputy asked, or even hinted. I talked with a couple of them regarding their duty weapon (I AM from Texas, after all), and if they enjoy the extra duty of working games, etc.
In light of new variants and the waning efficacy of the vaccines define “fully vaccinated”.
...as does failed leadership/bureaucracy.
These mayors have no self awareness. They are acting like pathetic fools.
When you went to the Cowboys game, you did not have to show your vaccine card...Now things are different at Sofi Stadium...You have to show your vaccine card or negative test result...You have to wear a mask when you enter...LA County Health Dept has issued those regulations...
Long Beach City Council apparently has not decided to follow the example of LA City Council yet...By the way, Long Beach has its own health department...That department usually follows what LA County Health Dept does... Long Beach actually does have indoor masking mandate...That Long Beach restaurant should have informed you that you should wear mask when not eating...
Some people may decide to go to Orange County...To go to some restaurant or bar...Orange County does not have an idiotic health department like Los Angeles County...
Oh, I realize things change, but LASD has repeatedly stated they are NOT going to respond to any vaccine card calls.
